“Satisfactory but needs work”
The hotel staff was cordial and the surrounding neighborhood seemed safe. The location was convenient. The room was small reminding me of some rooms I had stayed in while in Europe. The fixtures were modern.
“Kevin”
I wanted to take my girl out for the weekend in the NYC and I picked this as a last resort to stay sompe place for the night even with the negative feedback it got. When I got there I was especting renovations to be going on becasue they recently changed the name of the hotle plus I read a comment saying it was being renovated. But when I walked in everything was fine clean and no mess of renvations whatsoever. The guy at the desk was very helpful with our needs. The room was clean and a good size room for one couple looking to get away for the weekend. The bed was comforatable and all the places that we wanted to go to were within a block or two away. I would go and use this hotel again.
“Just OK”
Thirty Thirty Hotel is now called Lola - it would have been nice to know of the name change when looking for it. We had two rooms - one on the 9th floor and ours was on the 10th. The 10th floor smelled of cigarette smoke while the 9th floor didn't. The room was clean and comfortable. We were upgraded to a "suite" but the room was very small. Also disappointed that the room didn't have a refridgerator. We wouldn't stay at this hotel again - too pricey - expected more.
“Expensive but chic...”
Elegantly decorated. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was small and uncomfortable. Expensive. Location is GOOD, not GREAT!
“Gave my room to someone else”
They gave my room away before I checked in, then said they would upgrade me, but when I got to room it was just for handicapped.
“On My List of Hotels to Return To”
I loved what I found when I entered the door. Great decor. The front desk was quick and friendly. The size of our room was adequate. Cozy is definitely a good word. You can't expect a huge room for this price in NYC. Everything was great - huge TV, comfy bed, nice bathroom. The location is pretty fantastic. Within minutes of the bustle of the city. I don't know i the folks who gave it a low rating stayed here before the renovations, but I think it's nice. Really, this will be a hotel I'll be returning to for business trips. Now if only they would include complimentary Wi-Fi for the guests.
“Nice little hotel!”
For the location and price, this was a nice little hotel in NYC. It is walking distance to a lot of the attractions (Empire State Building, Times Square, Broadway, Park Ave, etc). Room was small but clean with a flat screen TV. It was quiet for being in the middle of a tourist location. Staff were friendly and available all hours.
“no coffee available in morning”
I took.notice that there was no coffee machine in the room so I asked if coffee was served elsewhere in the hotel in the morning. I was referred to a deli down the street unless I waited until 7am at which time an attached restaurant would open. Wake up people, guests need coffee on their own schedule and convenient to the room.
“Qualified bellman needed desperately”
Loved the location, great neighborhood close to my company office; Penn Station & herald square. The rooms are small but well appointed, the beds are comfortable and it was reasonably quite considering there was construction in the main lobby area. The housekeeping staff were excellent and the front desk staff was very helpful. However the bellman took 45 minutes to retrieve my (1) bag which caused me to miss my plane back to the west coast. I was furious!!! He loaded incoming guests luggage into their room while I stood waiting in the lobby...unexceptable! The kicker was when he questioned me for leaving him a $3.00 tip expecting more - you must be kidding! The taxi also waited and had to change drivers in the middle of my ride to fill his schedule, get rid of this guy!
“Renovations”
Hotel under construction. Would not have stayed there if I had known.
