“I'll be back!”
I'd go back next time I'm in Lyon - perfect location; great breakfast.
“Lyon Hotel Beaux Arts”
The location was perfect for my itinerary, with excellent access to cafes and shopping. My visit was for a performance at the Opera and I was within a ten minute walk....less than five to the River Saone and its beautiful evening views. The staff was AMAZING with every kindness and consideration. Thank you Hotel Beaux Arts!
“Mercure Lyon Beaux Arts”
Lyon is a beautiful city and well worth a visit. It has plenty of up market shops and very good restaurants. Siuated on 2 rivers it is very picturesque. We used the Mercure Beaux Arts Hotel on a trip to a wedding and then again on the journey back. The hotel we stayed in in Bergundy was inferior and the air con didn't work in very hot July weather, so it was a relief to get back to the smooth efficiency of the Mercure.
“A Fantastic Hotel in a Lovely Part of Town”
The staff were really pleasant. As I arrived late on the first day one of the receptionists went out of his way to give me advice on where to eat late at night. The room was great and very quiet. The breakfasts were very nice. The rooms are kept very clean. The hotel itself is in a lovely part of town not far from the famous Croix Rousse. I strongly recommend this hotel.
“so so”
hotel room was fine except for strong gassy-skunky smell. staff was cold/indifferent to me, but realized it was because no one understood or spoke english. after all that i would actually go back
“A nice place to stay”
It is a great location and central to the tourist areas. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. We would recommend this hotel.
“Great hotel for family”
Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Had trouble with our flight information and front desk person stuck with helping straighten all out which took some time.
“Great location, shame about the lack of sleep!”
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights over a long weekend. The location was excellent - right in the heart of Lyon, 2 minutes from the shops and restaurants and less than 10 minutes from the Metro. The hotel itself was ok but nothing particularly special. The room was an acceptable size, the bed was comfy and the bathroom had everything you needed. Some of the finishes were slightly shabby - tiles were chipped and bath had quite a few marks. The free wifi in the rooms was not good at all - it kept dropping out every few minutes and you would have to fill out the registration form to connect every time - a real pain!! There was one major problem with the hotel room - the air conditioning didn't work which made the room uncomfortably hot, making it very hard to sleep! I know that is was not just a problem in my room as friends staying in 2 other rooms also had the same problem. We would leave the window open while we were out to try and cool the room down but the cleaners would close it, meaning the room was always very hot - drying your hair turned the bathroom into a sauna! If the rooms were a pleasant temperature the hotel wood be a good choice for a weekend but as it is you don't get much sleep - not helpful from a hotel!
