“Stillwell hotel”

hotel looks like it needs tlc outside but once you step in the doors you get a fresh scent of pinesol and a clean lobby. one guy at the front desk was not to nice and always seemed to be quite annoyed with the hotel guests but the woman remember my room number and name and always made sure to greet me ever time id step out of the elevator to head to the convention center. i was very happy with how clean the hotel was and how nice and helpful the maid was. i wish i had a pool there and a microwave in my hotel room i was in but other than that i plan to stay again :D

“Very Satisfied”

Walking distance to Convention Center, less than half the price of the "official" hotels, clean and secure. You're not paying for fancy lobbies (or air-conditioned hallways!), but you do get fast wi-fi, a convenient location, and an excellent price.

“Great for the price!”

This hotel was excellent for the price. I reserved it for a business convention and it was perfect for what I needed. If you're looking for just a place to sleep in at night then this is the place for you. it was well within walking distance from the LA convention center and staples Center. It was great location, plenty of restaurants everywhere and I definitely will go there again.

“Good hotel”

Nice hotel considering the cost. At a very convenient location. You may not find any hotel of this quality at such a low cost in the vicinity. By the by, the restaurant downstairs (Gil's) is terrible. However, this restaurant is not a part of this hotel.

“It's a bargain”

This hotel was centrally located in the downtown area. It was an improvement over the stay I had there two years ago. Some of the new things like the air conditioner came up with problems like I couldn't adjust it. But for the money I paid, it was a bargain.

“Good value for money”

Hotel is close to the a big metro rail station, you can catch the metro to almost all the places, very convenient. Good value for money, not much noise, staff is courteous and helpful. The neighborhood is a bit shady, if you go to east otherwise I would recommend this place if you are looking for economic place to stay in LA.

“Biz trip? Low budget? Convention Center? Here ya go.”

Got a cheap room just days before my trip. The 20 yr old kid at the desk was a goofy, urban dude but friendly and helpful enough. Room was clean, if slightly ratty, and I was lucky to be on 10th floor so couldn't hear street traffic at night. Bed was too firm. I expected much worse, though, for 1.5 stars.
