“Great location and extremely comfortable!”
I stayed here on my way back to the states after 6 weeks in Africa. I chose it because I needed a few days of pampering, endless baths, nice linens, room service, great food, in a great neighborhood. The St. James provided all that! This is an extremely plush hotel with many marvelous amenities. The food is fairly exceptional throughout the hotel. The location is impossible to beat. 3 minutes to St James Palace. 3 minutes to metro and Green Park. 7 minutes to Buckinham Palace. 10 minutes to Picadilly Circus. Shopping galore. Congiere is very helpful. Rooms are small, though well appointed. Ask for a room with a bathtub to avoid tiny little and somewhat odd shower only facilities.

The hotel is an excellent hotel. We enjoyed all aspects of the hotel except two – no adequate gym and the rooms are a bit tight for two people.

“Location, Location, Location”
London hotels are expensive and the St. James is no exception. While our room was small and dark, everything else was spot on. The staff was exceptional, friendly and able. The services were first rate. The best thing about the hotel, however, was the location right in the heart of Mayfair. Everything is walkable and convenient. I would recommend the hotel to any traveler.

“Location, location, and service with a smile”
Family trip; adjoining rooms. Rooms small but stylishly and comfortably appointed. Quiet. Security highly evident as we were checked when doors were left unlatched. A little problem with TV and immediate response. Concierge group could not have been more helpful and pleasant to deal with. Booked theater, meals, tickets as requested. So close to many things we wanted to do. Walkable to Buckingham, parliament, war museum, theaters, great shopping, and great dining. Hotel dining room offers small but very good menu. It's just steps to a great coffee shop in the morning, if you want a stroll early on. Practically next door to the Wolsely where we had superb fish and the Ritz for impossibly expensive but oh so lovely traditional tea..
“nice hotel”
The hotel is very pricey but the deal we received via Expedia was within the other 5 start hotels in this location. Excellant location for transportation and walking. The hotel is adjacent to Green Park and about a 10 minute walk to the theater district. The Green Park tube and the Picadilly Square tube stops are just a couple of blocks away (Green Park is closer). The hotel service was excellant and although the room was very small (even by Euro standards), it was very comfortable and quite. We did not eat at the hotel for breakfast as it is too expensive. We would suggest the Valerie Patisserie one block away or Inn the Park in Green Park about 10 minutes walk. No coffee facilities in room.
“Very Modern, Perfect Location”
This was a return visit to the St. James's Hotel and Club. We were there several years ago, and the location and service were fantastic. They have since totally remodeled this hotel, and it has all upgraded features. Top shelf bed, pillows, linens; beautiful bathrooms with robes and slippers; plenty of closet space with mini bar and safe; Ipod dock; Flat Screens... I wanted to take the room home with me. The restaurant is excellent, but you are also walking distance to many choices for meals and drinks. The room is serviced twice daily. Inquire about the 'service fee' that is added to your bill. We were tipping the hotel staff throughout the stay, however the hotel adds in a fee at check out, which is distributed to the employees. The clerk will remove the charge, as it is optional.
