“Really think twice!”

The room I had booked was 'not available'. Instead I was given a closet sized room on the 5th floor, with no toilet (the closest being down two floors) and when I complained was told 'well you have a shower' (?). The window in the room had been broken and repaired, but because of the rain that had come in, the small single bed was wet. After a 24 hour trip this was really the last thing I needed. After considerable arguing, I was given a room at a nearby (slightly better) hotel for the night until my room could be made available the next day. This was a good solution but really disrupted my plans. The room I was given the next day was barely acceptable, filthy in ways that were unnecessary - other people's hair still on the sheets!!! I can accept run down, especially for the price, but not filth from lack of cleaning. The desk staff changed midway during the stay and the second group were far more considerate (this could perhaps explain the differing reviews). The hotel is cheap and very convenient, but the risk - not knowing WHAT you might get - it really wasn't worth it!

“Perfect position to visit London”

The hotel is situated in a quiet place but very near to Paddington Station. So is is easy to get there from any airport of London. The price is quite good related to the centric position, the bedroom with bathroom and the breakfast included.

Hotel was too old and noisy, even radiators were making noise.

“Perfect for our trip”

What makes this hotel cool is the fact that the desk knew all about the sites and transport f the area many occasions we needed help and they pointed us towards cost effective and time effective options for 2 star this is well worth it it has a big shower for our double room and sufficient breakfast might be hard finding the room but for soomething so close to a heathrw connect to the airport, i felt it was great

“nice hotel”

The hotel was nice however it was probably not the right one for us on this trip. I was taking my elderly grandmother and when looking for hotels I wanted on with a life. This one has one but the button on our floor didn't always work and my grandmother had to walk down the stairs. It didn't have air conditioning and that would be fine but the window didn't open very far and wouldn't stay up on it's own. The staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful. I enjoyed my stay even with the few problems.

“Is in remodeling stage”

The lobby has been recently remodeled and is equipped with free Wi-fi (thanks). The bedroom (a triple) had drapes that were dirty and broken. The bedspreads looked dusty and dirty. The shower walls were moldy. There was no reception on the TV. Though the desk help was very kind when we had an issue with our transportion and helped to solve the problem, when we informed her of the mold, there was no apology.

“Bed Bugs!”

My room was infested with bed bugs. Woke up to bloody sheets and eight big bites on my foot. They moved me to another room which did not seem to have bugs, but rented my old room right away to someone else. Rooms are very very dingy and the hotel staff was extremely surly. I liked the location.

“Great location”

This hotel is about what we expected for the price in London. The hotel needs some tlc. One of our beds had a visable dip in the center. It looked like they were in the process of changing some of the mattresses. The breakfast was adequate to at least get you out the door for sightseeing. Staff was friendly and helpful. You can walk to Paddington, the tube and Kensington Gardens within a few minutes.

“Good for Central London”

This hotel is relatively clean, comfortable with pleasant staffand literally one block from Paddington tube station. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as kensington gardens within easy walking distance. Hotel has some quaintness to it. Small room and tiny en-suite compared to american standards. So for price, location and the hot breakfast in the morning, I thought this was a deal and would stay there again.
