“would stay again”
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Limehouse the week of Thanksgiving. Got a family room for 2 adults and 2 teens, Room was simple but sufficient. Could use more storage for clothes...we had to live out of suitcases. The beds were very lumpy and uncomfortable. We asked for an extra matress pad for the main bed and that solved the problem but the next night when we requested another pad for the sofa bed we were told there were none and they offered us some blankets instead. We used a few blankets to pad the bed and that helped. The breakfast was great, very filling and good variety...even my teenage son was satisfied. The location was fine for us because we like to walk. Took us about 5-10 mins to get to the DLR which then got us into the Tower of London tube station and we could go anywhere from there. There is a nice littel grocery store right next to the Limehouse DLR station that has fuit, drinks, snack and drug items which was nice. DLR was closed on the weekends so we were able to catch the # 15 bus from Shadwell which was about a 20 min walk from the hotel. We really only slept and ate breakfast at the hotel and for those purposes it was great. The only complaint was the beds and lack of storage. We would stay again.
“Great affordable London Hotel”
Very good Hotel at an affordable price in London! Not far from the Limehouse DLR station (a 5-10 minute walk) The staff were helpful and always available. The room was clean, comfy and very quiet. Continental breakfast was wonderful with a great atmosphere in the seating area. Nice little walk down the side of river to a cute park area, and a lovely quiet narrow (and popular) street with lovely buildings and restaurants. I will totally come here again when I come back to London :)
“convenient to the Docklands”
After an initial room mixup, which was quickly put right, we had a fine stay at Holiday Inn Express Limehouse. The staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. They gladly arranged for an early morning car trip to a Tour pickup point and were most helpful in suggestion regarding use of the DLR trains. Most of our sightseeing was in central London and Westminster and the hotel was on the East End near the Docklands so we had to make full use of the DLR and the tube. That was not the hotel's fault we simply did not look carefully at the location before booking. Our stay could not have been more comfortable and the breakfasts were first rate. I hope our next lodgings are as good.
“Great experience!”
The hotel was not on the tube but could be reached easily via the DRL. Short walk from the DRL, and a 15-20 min walk to the Tower Bridge.
“Good hotel - good value for money”
Clean hotel, quite large and clean rooms, very good breakfast.
“A good price for the good service”
This conveniently located hotel is just a 5-min walking distance from a train station and about 20-30 min ride to the most of London sightseeing places. The hotel is not luxurious but has all necessary amenities for the comfortable vacation stay. Decent size rooms and bathrooms and peace and guiet at night made up for the not so exciting view outside. Continental breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and includes eggs, sausages, fresh baked croissants and cookies, fruits and coffee, tea or juice. High speed internet is available for purchase. Over all, this is a good hotel for the very decent price.
“Will use again”
Same as above - We had seen the hotel room (at least what we thought we were getting) prior to our stay. The room they showed us had a queen bed, desk , chair and sofa. The room we wound up getting did not a have queen bed but two double beds the sofa and chair which was disappointing. We were so tired we did not persue. The hotel was clean, people courteous, and breakfast was good. Was convenient with bus service to various areas of London. Would definitely use the hotel again when in London.
“Great no-frills hotel”
Great no-frills hotel. Convenient location near DLR station. Free breakfast not gourmet, but good enough to start the day. Would go back.
“Convenient”
Simple and practical hotel just off the main street. Easy parking. Good bed, decently clean room. (Excellent for London standards :) You may choose to take your breakfast in one of the nice caffes by hte river Thames.
“Nice Hotel”
Good selection on the breakfast, included hot items.
