“Great Stay overlooking the Mountains!”
It was a great hotel, and very friendly staff who spoke English. Only downside was the wooden bookshielf that has a really sharp corner at my height level - I hit my head twice on it in an hour! But besides that, it was close to town, and a bus stop right out front, although it is an easy 1 mile (1.8 km) walk to the train station. Good afordable hotel!
“Pleasant Surprise”
The hotel is walking distance to most all attractions. It was clean, staff very friendly, neighborhood was great! I would stay there again.
“Brilliant - clever little hotel”
This hotel is a great find. It is located 5 mins walk from the Old Town so great for sightseeing. It looks a bit unimpressive from the outside and we were not sure as we pulled up into the very small car park at the rear, the reception area is minimal, no restaurants, no bar, no facilities as such. However the room! Well it was a great size, beautifully clean, very modern and trendy. Fabulous wet room bathroom with glass walls. 2 large double beds for the family and we still felt we had room to move around. Free wifi. No breakfast included and they told us to go next door to the cafe which is through an internal door in the hotel. The cafe is gorgeous, a baker in the back making bread whilst you watch, range of pastries - really lovely. Definitely recommend this hotel!
“Excellent option away from the touristy area”
Great bed & breakfast away from the heart of all the hustle and bustle of touristy Salzburg. It was nice to get to a quiet residential area after a day of sight seeing. From the hotel, it's a 5 minute walk to the bus, followed by a 10 minute bus ride into the center of the city. Very nice accommodations, wonderful continental breakfast included. Two quiet, residential restaurants within 5 minute walk in either direction serving a full range of Austrian fare. Mega-mall "EuroPark" is about a 15 minute walk away. Though the weather was too cold for us, the swimming pool is very nice and well-maintained, covered at night. As a family of 4, we used the large "family bedroom" and saved on the alternative of buying 2 rooms per night. Highly recommended. The host family was kind and helpful.
“Simple but a nice place to stay”
Nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. The position is fine, grocery and shopping convenient. Clean and tidy. The rent is reasonable. Just like its name. Back to basic. Simple but you can enjoy your stay.
“I recommend”
Excellent hotel, 2 minutes walking to the center, very nice city.
“Cheap alternative close to the old town”
As the name implies, this hotel is very basic. Our bathroom did not have a shower curtain so water went all over the floor. The room was extrememly hot and we could not control the temperature. The room faced a busy street and traffic could be heard all night. A construction crew started jackhammering at 6am! The good is that the hotel is cheap and located a few minutes to the old town.
“Basically Basic”
Pleasant modern hotel in good location but a bit noisy outside. Rooms were spacious and modern but would benefit from having a chair rather than a stool to sit on and tea/ coffe making facility would have been nice. Glass shower wall might not suit everyone.
