“Would go again”

Although some distance from downtown HK there is a free shuttle bus. Shuttle to Airport only $HK140. Handy to Mall and MTR which gets to HK in 15 mins. Free internet facilities. Perhaps could have done with more than two free internet terminals for people without lap tops or ipad etc., which were in rooms.

Anywhere is HK it is all exciting and everyone helpful aand will go out of their way to direct you to where you want to find..

“Solid four star hotel in residential area of Hong Kong (Sha Tin)”

The Royal Park Hotel is a business oriented hotel that is also very suitable for tourists. It is located in a residential suburb of Hong Kong, some 15-20 minutes from the central area by MTR. Public transport is excellent in Hong Kong so the location is not an issue, with direct links to all areas and attractions being readily available. Service at the hotel was exceptional, and staff were helpful, right down to providing me with a late checkout at no additional cost. I also arrived at the hotel mid-morning, check in was speedy and I and was allocated a room immediately. There are restaurant options on the premises that provide an excellent choice of food types, however they are pricey by Hong Kong standards. However the hotel is connected to a huge shopping mall that offers a variety of options in terms of restaurants and cafes, right down to the western branded ones. The breakfast buffet is pricey by local standards, however if you are after a convenient option that is similar to that provided in hotel restaurants worldwide, it presents as an excellent choice (offers a variety of food options). Shopping options in the adjoining complex are endless. However as indicated previously, access to Hong Kong central is also easy...15-20 minutes by MTR. One hint for travellers to Hong Kong.... Purchase an Octopus Card and load it up. This card can be used on all public transport and for payment when shopping in many stores.

Area recommendations
Sha Tin presents as a good option for travellers who do not want to be stuck in the more noisy central area of Hong Kong. Because it is a residential area, there is a large park in the vicinity (adjacent to the hotel and on the riverbank). This adds to the value of the location, as does the opportunity to mix with the local population. Although it is separate from the busier central area (Mongkok), but is quite also quite conveniently close. The MTR can be utilised to access all areas/attractions in the greater Hong Kong area...and the Sha Tin station is a very short walk from the hotel (through the adjoining airconditioned shopping mall). The Royal Park Hotel offers a direct shuttle service to and from the airport at a reasonable cost. This service can be pre-booked or booked upon arrival at the airport...service is prompt and you are well informed of the pick up time etc.

“Lovely quality hotel in Sha Tin”

Lovely hotel at a price lower than this for this in Kowloon. Easy to get to from the airport on the A41 bus thats stops right outside hotel and operates every 20 minutes.- took about 45 minutes each way. Helped that as i needed an extra bed they provided an upgrade to a suite. Buffet food in 2+2 restuarant was very good. only thing was very worn or water damaged carpet there. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay again/

“Worth every cent”

Everything about this hotel is perfect except that it is out of town. With easy excess to trains makes it worth the extra travel time required to get to the city attractions. Rooms are very large, clean and modern with great views and a swimming pool. My criteria for a good hotel has always been, would I go back? and with this hotel that would be a big YES! A special thank you to the cleaning lady who informed management when my wife was sick, they came to offer assistance, perfect customer relations.

“Great Hotel at Good Price Near Subway”

Great hotel at a cheaper price than you will pay on the Island or Kowloon. Very nice room that is bigger than most in Hong Kong. Next to big mall with lots of shopping and restaurants. Short walk through walkway and mall to subway which is primarily how we traveled to Kowloon, Disney, etc. I picked this hotel because of its price and proximity to the subway and was extremely satisfied.

Getting around
Use the MTR (subway) to get around. Very convenient. Well marked with English signs. Pick up a prepaid card (I think it is called an Octopus card) at a service center if you plan to use the subway a lot. This is much more convenient than buying one-way tokens. The MTR will get you to or at least very close to most everything that you want to see including the airport. To make the most of the subway choose a hotel that is very close to a station.

“Very nice place but far from Nathan Road”

Hotel Comfort: Superb Location: Too far from Nathan Road, Tung Chung and Disneyland. Receptionists: They were accommodating although people at the Concierge were not familiar with the places where we can find branded shops. Hotel Ambiance: I really liked the place since they had clean sheets, quiet environment, good view, nice and cozy rooms but very affordable price. Hotel was near Newtown Mall and MTR. It was far from Nathan Road though where a lot of shops are located, Tung Chung for Citigate Mall and Disneyland. If you are taking a cab going to Harbor Place where branded shops are located, make sure to prepare about HK$100 for a one-way fare. Might as well wait for the shuttle services :) to save up money.

“I love the location of this hotel and the ease of transport from the airport”

A fantastic choice of accommodation in a bustling city like Hong Kong.

Area recommendations
Airport Shuttle arrives direct to this hotel and stops right outside the front entrance of the hotel. It is not necessary to stay at the hotels in CBD Hong Kong.
Shopping
Most convenient location with Shatin Plaza which is the largest shopping complex right next door.
