“Great location”

Hotel is very convenient for transport, shops and restaurants. Staff and facilities are good, although some of the rooms are tired looking.

“Not impressed”

Two favourable points: Buffet breakfast good and hotel locality very central. Requested upgrade to delux when checking in. Later realised we already paid for delux accommodation through Expedia.Cleaning and Kitchen staff very friendly. Impressed by the quality of Room service. Room though is cramped for space, especially the bathroom, after spending previous 8 days in five star hotels. The view from our hotel bleak and disappointing. Powerpoints freely available and was a plus.

“If hotel location matters then this is the one.”

Good location. Otherwise the public areas of the hotel is extremely crowded. The driveway is frequently closed (both at our check-in and check-out) and we have to move our luggage to the curb/sidewalk. The reception counters are wholly inadequate at check-out. However, the staff tries to make up for this, but they still cannot overcome this disadvantage.

“Convenient location”

Hotel is located in a good location, 10 min walking from the harbor, my room was very small and the view was terrible, to an old dirty building that I rather have the curtains closed. The hair-dryer was so old and noisy that did not help at all. The buffet breackfast at the hotel was good and the location also good.a

“OK”

the facilities are a bit dated and the water in my shower didn't drain well, but the location is great if you need to be on the kowloon side...

“Wake up and give your customers what they need”

Lacking in flexibility for the business traveller. To extend checkout by 5 hours they asked for a payment greater than the full daily rate we had been paying!! We got roud this by booking a full day at a nearby hotel at a lower daily rate and leaving at 11pm - OK but what a pain to get somewhere to shower and change before flying out. Perhaps hoteliers should offer at a modest supplement the facility to shower and change for those who have late flights.

“Aged & Tired”

I have stayed at this hotel over 20 years. I booked because of previous experience, however the hotel is now inwardly showing its age. I am sure there are better hotels in the same area offering greater value.

“Must pay more!”

The hotel had 2 entirely different floor acceptabilities. One set was all we were allowed under "what we had paid for." The other higher floors were acceptable and clean. The first 6 floors (which were part of our package) smelled heavily of mildew, carpet was gross, room was shabby, and view was empty, shattered windows in partially occupied apartments which reminded me of the film, "Bladerunner". The cost of the room was not equal to the room assigned on the 5th floor by the hotel staff. By paying more each day, we were placed in a very nice room toward the top floors. I felt this was a stardard practice by this hotel. Show the tourist totally unacceptable room in order for the tourist to pay extra. Otherwise, Hong Kong was great fun and it was nice to relax by the pool on the roof between the fantastic Hong Kong History Museum and all the other adventures!
