The Rex is not the latest shining, modern hotel but it is in a terrific, central location; is very comfortable, is spotlessly clean and we would return without hesitation. The central location is just off Dong Knoi St and so many of the sights and shoppping optiosn are close by The roof top area is a great addition - you can do breakfast there; and of course it is great place to relax with a cool drink after dark. The hotel's various sections or clusters of rooms have evidently been merged over the years from various separate buildings - and, as such, it is a bit of a maze to navigate - but that doesn't interfere with your stay - you just learn your way. And you've got to love those little chocolates on your pillow each night!!! Defintely a great hotel.

“Excellent Hotel and service”

We stayed at Rex in 2002 and it has had a partial facelift since then. The location is great, just near Ben Thanh Markets and night markets. The staff and service were fantastic, our room was in the old part of hotel, looking onto the courtyard and so maintained some old Vietnamese atmosphere, with no traffic noise, we received a basket of local fruits and it was very comfortable, clean and we thought reasonably priced, with a buffet breakfast included and free wiFi, which was a fairly quick speed. They are still renovating but only one morning did the noise disturb usand that was not too early. The Rooftop Bar is really pleasant although we only had pre dinner drinks there before going to Dong Khoi Street to search for dining but I would highly recommend The Rex Hotel if going to Saigon and you want to experience Vietnam french chic as it was rather than just another modern hotel room yet still be very comfortable.

“This the best hotel I have ever stayed in”

Everything was perfect at the Rex Hotel Ho Chi Minh City. Great location, very central to everything, friendly dedicated staff that put in the extra effort to make your stay memorable. Buffet breakfast was something to behold. Excellent food, good variety, Asian and western food, very willing staff, beautiful restaurant. The rooms were very clean and offered extras you do not get at most hotels. Roof top bar and restaurant offered great entertainment. Fantastic view of the city. If you want to be treated like royalty then the Rex Hotel is the hotel to stay at. The staff and the surroundings were top class. The price was very reasonable for what you get.

I will definitely go back to the Rex for my next trip. The staff are friendly, the rooms comfortable, the breakfast buffet great & an excellent gym. The location makes finding affordable, local cuisine easy. The rooftop bar is a nice place to hang out after a busy day at work. Love the Rex!

“Affordable prices and location is perfect”

Most of visiting places are near the venue. Even this hotel charge is more expensive than others, you will be satisfied every matters. This hotel is quite old but, room is clean and comport service is perfect as I expected. Breakfast Buffet is fantastic. I think this hotel is best business hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. However, every facilities are old and atmosphere is not really good for young generation. I am not really recommend to family travel, young generation and couple.

“Excellent option in Ho Chi Minh”

You will not get a better hotel for the same money. Breakfast are excellent, Internet is available as a free complementary service, excellent areas... Definitively, try the hotel restaurants... Very good service and location.

“Extra days in HCM”

Was in Ho Chi Mihn City for couple of days and booked at the Rex. I was more than satisfied. From the linens to the food outlets to the city views everything was fantastic. Highly recommended.

“Excellent hotel”

Despite renovations going on, this hotel is still an excellent place to stay. The location is brilliant...right in the centre of District 1 and only a ten minute walk to the Ben Thanh markets (plus a supermarket across the road). The staff went out of their way to ensure the comfort of our family (three kids included) and we were not disrupted by noise at all. The staff were both professional and helpful. Buffet breakfast is also good and the room very spacious so all in all, a great stay!
