“Short beach break”

Comfy resort style hotel in a great location. We stayed in a one bed apartment which was nice and spacious. Pull out bed had seen better days. Easy walk to beach with pool etc on site. Breakfast was not so great but plenty of options close by. No problem with noise. Would recommend.

Fantastic hotel in the best position in Coolangatta. Ocean views and whale watching from the balcony (and from the bed if you like).

Great location: Right on the beach, with lots of restaurants close by. Walking distance to supermarkets and other shopping.

“Relaxing time at calypso”

My partner and i Stayed at calypso for 4 nights. It was brilliant. Location was fantastic, right in the heart of coolangatta. Shops, cafes and restaurants all within walking distance. Walk across the road and you're at the beach. 5 minute walk to snapper rocks and 10 at the most to d-bar surf spots. Pool area good with lots of sun-loungers. Even used the gym, although pretty basic.Layout of hotel great. Hotel staff so helpful and friendly. We asked for an earlier check in as we had a wedding to attend and this was no problem. The only annoying thing I can think of was that only one lift was working, but there were signs apologising for any inconvenience. Will definately stay at calypso when we are back on the gold coast.

“Very Good location for a Getaway”

First impressions are best impressions and right form the outset reception staff were both friendly and efficient. Checked in at 1100 and room was in first class shape . Amentiies were frst rate excellent pool, spa and sauna and Bar and restaurant facilities verty good without being over the top. Hotels right next to beach and surrounded by great eateries and shops. What sets this location (colongatta) apart is it has the best of beaches and facilities without the overbearing concrete jungle of adjoining Surfers Paradise . Played 36 holes at Tweed Heads which is a very good course and hospitable environment. Walks along thr beaches and cliffs excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

“Good Hotel”

We only stayed for one night before an early morning flight. However I would definitely stay here again. They hotel is in a great location, close to the beach and all the shops, restaurants etc. The room was very spacious and more than what I expected for the price.

“Great Place to Stay”

The Calypso Plaza was in a great location, near cafes and restaurants and right on the beach. Rooms were reasonably priced and ours was very spacious. My only criticism is that our room, while non-smoking, smelled like it used to be a smoking room. Otherwise, our stay was great, the staff were helpful and looked after our bags for us all day and allowed us to use the facilities after check out because we had a late flight.
