“Impressed...returning in a month”
Levels of ambience and luxury not often seen in Australian hotels. Loved the resort aspect, many quiet and discrete areas to enjoy Swimming with fish in the lagoon?? Wonderful
“Renovations look great”
Loved staying at the Marriott. The place is close to the heart of Surfers but far enough that you don't hear the noise of the night life. Great veiw of the track during the races. Would highly recommend the Elandra suite.
“sabina”
very happy with the hotel service very friendly.
“Bathroom needed fixing”
Hotel is lovely but unfortunately for the money paid, the shower didn't work which was really frustrating. Very disappointed that for the price this is considered acceptable.
“Great hotel, slightly dated rooms”
We liked staying at the Marriott, great location just the rooms were a bit dated. Service was outstanding.
“Our Experience.”
We booked a junior suite ocean view (trackside) for the Gold Coast 600, from Thursday for four nights. The room was spacious with adequate facilities. I understand the hotel had just been renovated. Probably more attention should have been made to the individual rooms. minor irritations in the room included a too small spa bath, inadequate pressure in the shower, round knobs on the internal doors making them difficult to open etc. These things didn't really spoil our stay. All the staff were outstanding, they gave the impression that they enjoyed working there and for the marriot group. The car parking was also easy.
“Not Impressed”
Pool not accessable and no pre warning, some menu items in restaurant not available (basic potatoes) no wake up call after requested the night before.
“Disappointed”
We have stayed in this hotel many times and was very disappointed that when we checked in the room we had requested was not available however for an extra fee we could get the type of room but on a higher floor. We felt that this was a sale tatic to rent out the higher costing rooms. There was a strong smell on our floor of glue and very musty. The entrance due to major renovations was uninviting and not 5 star. At the sme time of booking this stay we booked to stay again in July and have been informed the pool and spa area will be closed. Prior stays were very pleasant. Not looking forward to the July stay.
“Hotel looks a bit tired, but the service and the pool area was great!”
This hotel must have been fantastic 10-15 years ago! From it's grand foyer to the fabulous pool area ... But it's looking tired and worn out, and in dire need of a revamp. Having said that - the service was great, and the hotel and the rooms are clean and maintained as well as possible. The mini-bar selection was very limited, but the quality of the food in the hotel restaurants was great. You have to try the Tepanyaki at the Japanese restaurant on the third floor ... pure entertainment! And finally, the pool area is simply fantastic. Snorkling with the fish and the warmth of the pools was inviting and very relaxing. This hotel will be top-notch once they undergo a revamp.
“Marriott's Paradise Hotel”
Marriott is our favorite place to stay any where we go and the hotel in Surfer's Paradise did not disappoint us. The staff are friendly and the facility is very clean. The beds are comfortable, the room is spacious, and the view from the balcony was magnificent. We really enjoyed our stay.
