"My experience at Cheshire was not good and I travel to St. Louis once per month for a few days and I am always looking for a nice clean well maintained 3 star property that does not get over $150 per night to stay when I am in town. This is the first time at Cheshire and was excited to check the property out. Check in was great, public areas and hallways were well maintained - a little older but well maintained. My room was pretty gross. The door had no deadbolt with a very old lock that did not work well and anyone with a screwdriver could break in to the room. The room smelled and was in poor repair. Shower did not get completely hot, lights and fixtures did not all work. The property has a ton of deferred maintenance and the parking garage below was full of trash and debris - not sure why your staff does not clean up these areas. Overall, a disappointing stay and not sure if any other rooms are better. Due to the quality of the room, the bed, and the linens; I probably would not be back unless I knew there were improvements in the work."
