“Great place to stay for a weekend treat”
Professional and friendly staff on arrival and check out. Prompt and friendly service in the Restaurant and Bar, well presented and tasty food served in the Scottish cooked Breakfast. Room was clean, presentable and tidy, the bathroom was also clean and tidy too.
“amazing from start to finish :)”
We arrived around 10am on the day of arrival, I had already spoken to the staff via an internet chat the day before about storing our bags there so we could explore the city but was pleasantly surprised to find our room was ready and we could check in straight away. The staff were brilliant from start to finish, the rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean and the location couldnt be faulted, our stay at the apex was nothing short of amazing. Make sure you bring along ur swimwear because a late night swim in the pool over looking the grassmarket square and the illuminated castle is a definate must. Fab fab fab! Thankx apex we will be back :)
“Great Location - Nice Bath”
The hotel's location on Grassmarket is ideal for both sightseeing and nightlife. The concierge was also very helpful. Unlike the typical European hotel bath, the bath in our room was comparable to quality hotels in America.
“Excellent hotel in centre of historic part of city.”
Smart modern hotel with friendly & helpful staff.
“Perfect Modern Hotel”
Ideally located hotel for sights and night life. Clean modern hotel, with excellent service, all leading to a faultless stay.
“Great hotel, excellent location”
We really loved the hotel. The staff are sincerely helpful and friendly, which shows as soon as you arrive. The hotel restaurant is a good choice if you arrive late (as we did), and there are many pubs in the nearby as well. The Edinburgh castle is 4 minutes away from the hotel, which makes it a great place to start a walk. The area is undergoing a majour repair though (they are laying an underground, if I am not wrong), but this did not disturb us at all. We will go back when in EDI again.
“Best loction in Edinburgh”
The hotel was right across the street from restaurants, shops, etc. There was a great view to the castle which was a short walk away. It was also in walking distance to the New City (versus the Old city where the castle is). The hotel was luxurious, and the bedding was the best of any place we stayed in Scotland.
“Very Nice hotel”
The hotel was great. close to everything. Rooms might be smaller then in US but had everything we needed. No safe in room but front desk locked valuables in safe for us. Room was as nice as or better then our friends hotels which were twice as expensive. garden view isn't much of a view but we didn't notice as we spent most of the time walking the royal mile.
“Highly recommended”
Excellent hotel. Very convenient for visits to most of Edinburgh`s main attractions. Breakfast was rather expensive at eleven pounds but it was of an excellent standard. Staff very helpful and friendly.
“Could not have asked for more”
The hotel was modern, beautifully kept and the staff were very attentive. I wish we'd booked for breakfast now as it looked fab and we have a coffee and a pudding one day which was amazing! Cannot wait to get back there!
