“Thoroughly recommend!”
Extremely helpful and attentive staff, nothing seemed too much trouble. Very comfortable rooms and beautiful Victoriana architecture in the public rooms. Breakfast was excellent. Thank you for a very comfortable stay.
“Can't wait to go back”
Nice hotel with great location.
“Very nice hotel”
Stayed here in February and was very impressed with this hotel. Some reviews suggested its a bit tired and worn but i found it very "grand" still. Very clean. My economy room was very spacious with a huge bed and nice bathroom. The room was very warm.Fantastic breakfast buffet. Drinks in the bar are very expensive as is the food. £8.50 for a cheese toastie? Hotel car park is £25 per night and if you are staying with your dog it is an extra £20 per night! I would stay again for a special occassion or if i win the lottery!
“Brighton's best hotel”
The de Vere Grand is a very nice hotel, great breakfast and gym, including a small, but still very nice pool. Great location, attentive staff and well worth a visit.
“A Grand experience”
From the first moment of walking in the doors, this hotel lived up to its 5 star rating. Its character, staff, services and location just kept on delivering a wonderful experience that will always be a memorable part of our stay in Britain.
“Highly Recommended”
A fantastic, impressive, classic, stylish hotel. The Staff were superb.
“An excellent hotel”
The Grand is an outstanding hotel: first-class customer service and lovely rooms and food. My first choice in Brighton.
“Superb value for money”
Very well kept "Grand" Hotel. Superb room, staff, and especially breakfast, Highly recommended. Thank you
“Our One Nights Stay”
We arrived at the hotel somewhat early, but never the less the concieage was waiting outside to greet us,and offered to take our bags and have them taken to our room when It was ready, and promply took the car to the secure underground car park. To kill time until the room was ready,we took a walk with our Labrador along Brighton Seafront. On our return to the hotel we checked In with no fuss and told our room was on the 4th floor. The room was of a good size and veryclean. The view from the window was not good. It overlooked a roof ,although this did not really matter as we were not Intending to stay In the room. The bed were lovely and comfortable and the bathroom had good quality shower, shampoo, and soap. We were surprised that a hotel of this standard allowed dogs,We did check before booking. The hotel staff were very friendly and made a fuss of the dog. We had an evening meal In the restaurant which ewas a little expensive but the quality of the food and the standard of service were superb. We found the room quiet and no noise was heard from other rooms or doors slamming. The Breakfast In the morning was lovely. The eas plenty of choice from either a full English to Eggs Bennidick or kippers. I would very much like to return to this hotel in the very near future. The only thing I would say Is that It would be worth paying the extra for a sea view room If you were staying more than one night or If It were a special occasion, and a swimming pool would have been nice
“A grand hotel that needs a make over”
Excellent location on the seafront, an imposing building. However, the hotel decor and furnishings are dated and need updating. The service in the restaurant is good.
