“After hours of researching definately made the right choice”
My 18 year old daughter and I have just returned from a great week spent at Las Palmeres. Reviews had left me with mixed opinions but definately a good choice and value for money. Location was great, 5 minute walk to the beach and town centre. Train station further about 10 minute taxi drive but good service to Barcelona and very cheap. All hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Full breakfast and evening meal were included and there was always plenty of choice. The roof terraces were brilliant and often we had them to ourselves, enjoying peace and quiet and jacuzi. We made use of the sauna, again had it to ourselves for 1 hour for few euros. Only 1 niggle; safe was installed in room but you had to pay approx 15 pounds to use, but better to be safe than sorry with personal effects. Definatley a great place to stay and would visit again and highly recommend.

“Highly recommend Les Palmeres”
My daughter and I were in Spain to visit Barcelona on a five day trip in late October We decided to stay outwith the city and chose Calella, due to its proximity to Girona Airport. The Les Palmeres hotel is excellent value for money as breakfast and dinner were included. Food was ok and service in restaurant good. Hotel was exceptionally clean. The leisure complex was small but it did have a large plunge pool. I had a massage and the lady who administered it was just excellent - highly recommend this person. Train journey to Barcelona takes 1 hour but the journey seems short due to the beautiful coastline all the way to Barcelona - stunning. Train service every ten min approx., and inexpensive. All in all a very good experience.
“Excellent value for money”
Stayed for four nights and everything about the place was excellent.A big plus ,I feel,was the fact that it's a relatively small hotel, therefore the service was better and overall noise levels as such were much less than other 4* hotels in the vicinity. About 100 metres or so to the beach and 10-15 min walk to the railway station if you want to get on a train to Barcelona means if we go to Calella again we will be staying at Les Palmeres.Food was excellent too, and in mid-October the dining room was never too busy.
“4 star at its best”
The staff were really friendly and the service was excellent. The hotel was very clean and there was a big selection of food for breakfast and dinner. The spa only cost 5 euros an hour and you have it yourself.
“Great resort hotel”
We stayed at Les Palmeres during September 08 for 10 days and must say we were impressed. This is the first holiday booked without using the brochures as a guide and so were perhaps a little uncertain what to expect. However we had no need to worry as on arrival we soon discovered this hotel met our expectations. Very clean and maintained to a high standard and the staff always helpful. Meals buffet service and presented well, with plenty of choice of meat, fish and salad dishes. Although I did find the choice of desserts a bit repetitive. Room was fine though not over spacious, and was cleaned daily to a high standard. Views to the sea were very limited and most were overlooking the street. The big plus was the proximity to the local amenities, just a short walk to the shops and the beach. And a brisk 15mins walk to the local railway station where the trains to Barcelona run every 30 mins or so. The only complaint I would mention is that it does tend to be noisy at times, not only with street traffic but because of the tiled flooring, which allows you to hear the people above moving about. And the doors do tend to bang a lot as well. But apart from those minor complaints I would say its a great resort hotel.
“Nice hotel close to the beach & town bit noisy at night”
Pleasantly surprised by this hotel very clean, staff very friendly & facilities lovely, nice breakfast we never ate dinner there but looked ok. Room very clean only downside was the closeness to hotel opposite which was noisy at night, however for a 4 day break its fine
“Calella in late spring”
Hotel is smalll and overshadowed by surrounding buildings,very good at the hieght of summer but not in cool weather. Bar did not open untill 1600hrs , which seemed odd? Car parking chaotic unless you are happy to pay 10 Euros /day. Overall a good ,central ,value for money choice.
“Certainly not a 4 star hotel”
Hotel was certainly not a 4 star hotel. It looks very old, not renovated. Rooms are ok, quite big. Breakfast was ok. Another problem is that you have to give a caution on everything !! That's scandalous. Pay and give a caution for the fridge (!), give a caution to park your car in the parking (!)... Nothing to see in this hotel, walk away ! Not so well located near the beach but old neighborhood.
