“LOVED IT! Amazing hotel and staff!”
fantastic hotel! the staff was amazing, location amazing, would definitely go back! Terrific food as well.
“We did not want to leave! This Hotel was way beyond any Expectations.”
We just spent the first week of September at the Baby Grand and it was a great experience. The room, the food, the personalized service each and every day was beyond our expectations. Room and Grounds were all well appointed and taken cared for. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. The Breakfast every morning was a joy. There were so many little details. Fresh Flowers, Fruit, Candies, bottled water, and transportation offered so freely. More than anything it was the staff. They were so attentive and anticipated every need. There always seemed to be 3 to 5 people appear every time we arrived or departed. They were the most giving and Sincere people I have ever experienced. Originally we were going to book a Hotel within the Old City Walls. Last minute we switched to the Baby Grand. We visited that 5 star hotel one day while in that part of the City. It did not compare in any way to the Baby Grand. I never fill out these reviews. I made an exception this time because The Baby Grand Genuinely deserved my time & appreciation.
“Best Hotel In Chiang Mai”
The hotel was amazing. Everything was 10x better than expected. The staff was fantastic and went above and beyond their jobs. The room was beyond great. Breakfast was delicious and something we looked forward to everyday. If you are coming to Chiang Mai, stay here, period.
“The best hotel in Chiang Mai!”
This hotel was amazing. The service was outstanding, and the grounds are impeccable. We would recommend it to anyone! We especially liked how the hotel has a tuk-tuk that will take you to the center of town if you don't feel like walking (even though it's only a 10 min walk). The rooms are very clean and have balconies that look out onto the beautiful pool. The only thing we didn't like was the shower; it's very euro and didn't have good water pressure. The hotel is in a great location. You can walk to town or to the river where there are some great restaurants. We have nothing but good things to say about this place!
“Fantastic little hotel”
Great little hotel just on the outskirts of Chiang Mai but easily walkable to the centre or use the free Hotel TukTuk. The staff are very helpful and always smiling, they made me feel very welcome throughout my whole stay, the breakfast is very good quality. Will definitely go back next time I am in Chiang Mai.
“Would go back in a heartbeat!”
Puripunn Baby Grand Boutique Hotel was exactly what its description promised. It is tranquil and beautiful. I slept like a baby and enjoyed the quiet, beautiful atmosphere. This is not a party palace, rather it's a wonderful oasis after each day and night of sight-seeing. Breakfast and internet were both included in my package and breakfast included made-to-order omelets and buttered toast plus of course, fresh juice and coffee and fabulous fruit selections. I was on the second floor and I had a very spacious room, with three sets of French doors (to washroom, to very large and nicely furnished balcony and to the room itself). My room was gorgeously appointed with a king size bed, flat screen tv, ac, desk and even a chaise lounge. The safe was large enough to fit my entire laptop in it! The staff are very accommodating and friendly. Extras like spa, laundry or in-room dining are on the expensive side, but it's easy to get these elsewhere. Just three doors down the alley, there's a local Thai woman that washed and ironed all of my laundry in one day for just 200 baht! I didn't walk around the neighbourhood except to go there, though. The immediate neighbourhood, once you leave the hotel's gardens and driveway, is a maze of narrow residential alley ways. One of my tour guides got lost trying to finding the hotel! But I was simply picked up and dropped off each day by my tour guide so this was not a problem for me. If you want some real R&R, definitely check out the Puripunn.
“Great Overall Experience!”
Excelent hotel overall ! We even got a free upgrade for Honeymoon! Food was a bit expensive compare to local restaurants, but it was delicious...Breakfast served outdoors Need to have a better spa!
“Exactly what we were hoping for”
My husband and I live in Thailand and have experienced the range of accommodations on offer. Our night at the Puripunn Baby Grand was exactly what we were hoping it would be. Set back from the riverside, it was quiet and calm but without feeling deserted. The staff was excellent - providing for every need but very discreet. We had a delicious dinner in their cafe restaurant - much better than what we have come to expect from smaller hotels in Thailand - and breakfast was equally satisfying. The grounds are lovely. The rooms are beautifully appointed with nice firm mattresses and plenty of space to sit and read or work. A good sleep, good food, great location, and a beautiful setting - exactly what we were hoping for.
“Not impressed”
This hotel felt cramped and was too expensive for what you got. We have stayed at other hotels in Chiang Mai, and I would say this hotel is more a 4 star hotel and the cost should have been about 1/3 lower. The room was pleasant and had a nice balcony. The bathroom was very small. The shower leaked on the floor although had good hot water. Since the BR was so small you had to stand on a wet floor. There was not much surface area on the counters. In the bedroom, they provided a hot water kettle, but only 2 packets of cheap Nescafe and Lipton black tea bags for hot drink options. The mini bar in the refrig had only Singha beer, not any other choice. For a 5 star hotel with this price, the drink options should be much nicer and more varied. Not sure what to do about the bathroom size. It didn't feel 5 star. The breakfast was very nice and had good selection. We did not use the pool or fitness room. I wouldn't recommend it compared to other hotels in the city.
