Only spent 4 Nights in Feb 2020 Not Many Tourists around , But very layed back part of Thailand
Unique city with lovely old town area. Golf is good and excursions to Hill Tribes, hot springs and Doi Suthep were very worthwhile. Nightlife a little slow for Thailand. Certainly worth visiting.
Chiang Mai is such a beautiful place with down to earth people. Many temples throughout you better be prepared to stumble across a few.
Pleaseant city, was very surprised when we arrived. Reccomend paak dang restaurant in town for an evening meal this was our favourite restaurant.
Pretty busy now, traffic and Asian tourists. Need to be careful walking about the place. For Europeans, don't trust pedestrian crossings, for many drivers they are just lines painted on the road.
