“nice hotel”
nice clean hotel easy access, quick checkin
“nice stay”
Very pretty hotel quiet and comfortable. Restaurant facilities were vry good also.
“Graduation celebration!”
We were in Champaign/Urbana for graduation weekend. We stayed at the Holiday Inn on Killarney. The hotel catered to all guests by offering complimentary champaign and appetizers in the lobby each afternoon/evening. The staff working the breakfast buffet in the mornings were wonderful, especially Kim who really took good care of us. My only complaint is that one morning our room was not cleaned very well and we had to call the front desk to ask for towels.
“Nice for the price”
The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet, despite being nearly full. The only downside to this stay was breakfast buffet. It was relatively cheap ($8.95?) but the food was sub-par.
“Comfortable stay”
This Holiday Inn was very clean and comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms were clean which is a huge plus. Complimentary washer and dryer was a nice benefit as I did need to do one load of laundry during my stay. Although not a big deal, we did need to request more towels since they were not replenished when the room was cleaned by housekeeping. We also were not able to get internet service even with the hotel's assistance...problems with the routers I think. We were also told that complimentary breakfast was served until 11:00 am, but our first morning there the cafe closed at 10:00 so we missed breakfast - a bit of an inconvenience.
“Odors”
The hotel was without bugs so it was acceptable. When I entered the room, it appeared clean but there was a smell of unwashed bodies. I checked the sheets and bathroom and all seemed to be clean. I had to go out to get a room freshener. I could not open a window. I do not know if the body odor could have been something that remained from a hard working cleaning person but tried to think the best. Most importantnly, there were no bugs. I, also, am very sensitive to odors.
“The Echo Chamber in Ubana, Illinois”
This hotel is built such that the main lobby is an echo chamber that reverbs at any sound, and creates a caucaphony of noise that is heard in the room especially if one is unlucky enough to have a room on the lobby side where you get the full effect of the sound. The room that I reserved (two queen beds) was not available, so I got to sleep on a hide-a-bed.
