“Quiet family run hotel”

Small family run hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff. The shower cubicle was a little small but adequate. Breakfast basic but overall fine. Very pleasant quiet location. Cars cannot get to the hotel so there is a 10-15 min walk from the main road. This keeps the location peaceful however. Nice but basic pool to come home to after a long day out. Highly recomended.

Great view, great service. A bus station is 200 metres from the hotel so well connected

“Great location, super nice people, cosy hotel but....”

I would love to say that I love this hotel. The location is ideal; it is away from Capri, on the quieter side of Anacapri. The hotel is family run, and we found the people very sweet and helpful. Breakfast was fine, though I have had better. My principal negatives (unfortunately) relate to the beds, which were lumpy. The pillows we received initially were like 8 inch marble slabs, quite uncomfortable. After we asked for softer pillows, the marble slabs were apparently broken up and made into rocks. The showers were also very small, like those on a ship (that bothered my husband more than I). I hate to be negative about a charming place, but sleep seems to be a key to a hotel? It is hard to recommend when sleep was difficult to achieve.

“Too remote”

The people were really friendly, but the hotel itself is basic and in need of repair work, and above all it is a long walk away from town and nearest bus stop. There is no restaurant and it is a nuisance to come back to the hotel to change for dinner in the evening and go out again.

“Cheap and it shows”

If price is your first priority it's a fine place to stay. If having a spectacular time on Capri is your first priority look elsewhere.

“Terrible hotel”

The hotel is very far away from Capri and around 2 km from Anacapri (which is dull compared to Capri). Hotel staff is very rude and poor informed. To get there, it was a pain since there is no signs on the road and the address does not show on local maps, the place is kind of hiden (althoug views of the sunset are nice, not worth it). There is no parking even to our scooter wich we had to leave almost 1km away. Breakfast was the only nice thing (althoug you pay for cappucinos), pool's maintenance was poor, bed is terrible and the small old tv was not working for 1 day (I asked twice to someone to fix it), there was no safe box (there was a lose metal box whose keys are not given to you on check in - but since box is loose from the wall is not safe to use it anyway) bathroom was really small, towels are rot and stained, water not so abundant, and either too hot or too cold. There was no info at all about shuttles (that I believed was paid separately). Internet access was free but staff wanted to charge me when I left! There is no marina!!! Thus, unless you want to get irritated with staff and all the time you take to get from there to the city center, don't go there. It not worth it at all. Not recommend it at all.

“Not a 3-Star Hotel”

Hotel Girasole is maybe a 2-star hotel, but is definitely not a 3-star. Our room had an incredibly noisy bathroom fan which went on automatically when the bathroom light was turned on (waking everyone in the room), a glass bathroom door (again, light throughout the room if anyone got up at night). The windows were unscreened (except for a loose screen on the window looking onto a service alley) and could not be left open. The pool is very old, sloppily maintained with a loose pool ladder and slapped-up concrete around the outside. In addition, the front desk did not mention their shuttle service to the port when we were checking out, even to a mom travelling alone with three kids.

“Bad attitude”

Generally a bad attitude displayed by the young man at the desk. Not very accommodating and wanted to charge us 35 EU for the supposed shuttle service. Shower in one room backed up and instead of transferring us to another room they had us use another room for showering and the broken one to sleep. Utterly ridiculous.
