“One of the finest hotels anywhere”
This is a beautiful hotel in the leafy suburb of Newlands, just a few minutes from central Cape Town. The rooms are lovely -- we were lucky enough to get one with a view of Table Mountain -- and the service is just superb. When I ran short of cash, the hotel's complimentary limo drove me a few blocks to the nearest cash machine, and when my wife couldn't get her iPad to connect to the hotel's WiFi system, a manager immediately to our room to help. Highly recommended, and the hotel's restaurant is excellent also.
“Cape Town's Mountainside Jewel”
The Vineyard is a beautiful and exceptionally comfortable hotel for those seeking a convenient and full service establishment without Waterfront prices. The restaurants are great, the health club superb, and the ambience unbeatable.
“Excellent Hotel”
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cape Town. It has everything you could want in a hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful (checking in early was no problem), location was excellent as it was in a safe, quality suburb near to all attractions. It should be noted though that the hotel is not in the centre of Cape Town or near the waterfront, however, as you really need a car to get around, the location was not a problem at all.
“Cape Town Southern Suburbs”
Excellent acommodation, beautiful view, friendly and efficient staff, good food well served in pleasant surroundings.
“one of the best value and nicest hotels I have stayed in”
This hotel is in a residential suburb of Capetown approx 20 minute taxi journey from the Water Front It is quiet and peaceful couldnt wait to return to it after a night out in bustling exciting CapeTown. Very large gardens including their very own tortoise! Swimming pool great temperature and plentyof sitting out space. We had recently refurbished room over spa which was spacious with a large balcony couldnt have asked for a better room. Breakfasts were a delight lots of fresh fruit cereals nuts etc and a great choice of cooked breakfasts including french toast with cinnamon and sugar and bacon Delicious!! This hotel had a special ambience which deserved a review. I have never written one before. I reccomend it very highly.
“would thoroughly reccommend”
wonderful hotel in stunning setting below table mountain
“Vineyard - not to be missed. fabulous”
The vineyard hotel - what can I say? relaxing, friendly, clean, attentive staff, great food, fantastic wine (south african of course), very child friendly - our six year old was treated so well, need I go on? What a great pre-christmas break. We will be back. Loved it.
“We can't wait to go back.”
We've been to The Vineyard for five consecutive years - I guess you can say that we like it. We would normally be disparaging about people who keep going back to the same place but we just love Cape Town, and there is no other hotel that suits us as well. The Vineyard does cater for those who appreciate old fashioned standards - and what's wrong with that? That's not to say that they are stuck in a time warp either; they have an up-to-date spa, gym and pool, and have updated the restaurant dinner menu without changing the unbeatable breakfast. We can't wait to go back.
“Would definitely use this hotel again”
The hotel is loaded with amenities, but yet reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and helpful, hotel room, gym and grounds are clean and well-maintained, and the hotel setting is beautiful, with a view of eastern side of Table Mtn. The included full breakfast buffet included in my package was fantastic. Overall, a great value!
“Exceptional!”
I read reviews before securing a hotel for my stay in Cape Town and every review on every website I'd visited had nothing but praise for the Vineyard. I've found it completely justified, this hotel is perfect! I think what I appreciated the most was the quality of food at reasonable prices. It made it really hard for us to go into town and try some of the locally acclaimed restaurants. The hotel's restaurants are simply the best! Some reviews cautioned on how far the hotel was from centre city but I feel this was an exaggeration. Hands down, you're going to need a car to get around in Cape Town so it is not compulsory to even be in centre city. The hotel is perfectly situated in Newlands, a safe and absolutely beautiful suburb only 5 minutes from the mall. I assure you that you can not go wrong with this hotel!
