“Excellent experience”
The Commodore picked me up from the airport from a 5 am flight and checked me into a really comfortable room at 6 am. Being in easy reach of the waterfront I had a great day out and then an excellent meal in the evening. Really helpful staff and great service.
“quality”
the staff at the commodore were so helpful and friendly they would have been a credit to any hotel in the world, the food was 1st class, the only small let down is the size of the pool, but the positives far far outweigh any negatives
“Very satisfied”
I will certainly return to this hotel, centrally located and extremely polite and friendly staff.
“Very nice. Great location.”
Nice hotel. Rooms with good views of the Victoria & Albert Waterfront. Great breakfasts. Very close to many of the big attractions in Cape Town.
“Great Location and Excellent Staff”
The Commodore V&A is just about a half a block from the very upscale mall that is right on the waterfront. In addition to the shopping there are multitudes of restaurants, many with views of the harbor. Our room overlooked the waterfront and also Table Mountain. The neighborhood is safe to walk in the evening. The staff was extremely curtious and helpful, often greeting us by name. The concierge was quite good at getting us dinner reservations at the last minute. The breakfast buffet included in our room rate was quite extensive.
“A very good hotel in an excellent location”
We enjoyed our stay very much and the hotel lived up to our expectations. Staff were helpful and friendly.
“Good Location”
The Commodore V&A Waterfront provides convenient access to waterfront attractions and restaurants. We stayed in the Balmoral Castle Suite with balcony views of both Table Mountain and the harbor. The accomodations were clean and comfortable. Our one dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good. The proximity to the harbor also was convenient because we arrived by cruise ship.
“Great location, great Cape base”
Chose this hotel as it offered an excellent location close to V&A Waterfront. We wanted to be able to have a full day travelling around the Cape and to be able to relax at the V&A Watefront in the evening. The distance to be walked is only about half a mile or so and is easily achieved (even with copious amounts of red wine inside). In comparison to European or US standards this is a 4* hotel but the welcome and helpulness of the staff more than compensates for this. Request a room with a Table mountain view if possible, especially if you're celebrating a special event - the view from our room on the 6th floor was glorious(most have courtyard or road views). Everywhere very clean and tidy.Drinks and meal prices were reasonable, but then they are everywhere in South Africa. I would definitely return if visiting the area again.
“Luxury at its best. Fantastic views overlooking Table Mountain. Will definately return.”
Luxury at affordable price. First class service. I would certainly reccomend any one to stay. Fantastic location for all the major sites. I hope to go back in the not to distant future.
“Nice area to stay”
This hotel is quite nice, and the location is great for exploring the waterfront. Its in a very safe part of Capetown. The courtyard where you eat breakfast is lovely.
