“Lovely hotel”
close to everything, very clean, very helpful staff rooftop pool and terrace was an added bonus due to the good weather we had
“Excellent”
This hotel is perfect if you want somewhere comfortable, but can't stretch to 5* standards. It's right next to the train station and only a 10 minute walk to the seafront. The rooms have flat screen tv's, nice bathrooms and lovely squidgy pillows and everywhere was spick and span, and obviously renovated to a very high standard. The pool is small, but very nicely kept and a nice place to sit when the sun is setting (great views of the scenery too). The terrace is again spotless and the perfect place to take in breakfast.
“Nice, friendly hotel”
First of all there are several best Westerns in Cannes. This one was located next to the train station, which was convenient the day we had to go to Nice. There's a little tunnel we took to get get under the station to the other side. There are also buses running in front of the train station. Due to the train station nearby, our room was a bit noisy, and they hadn't turned on the A/C yet, so we needed our windows open. Apparently they can't have the A/C on and the heat. The nights get a little cool in late May/early June. But we weren't in our rooms much anyway. There is a pool on the roof which was very nice. We did not take advantage of the breakfast, a little pricey. Plus there's so many places nearby to grab something. The rooms were very nice, beds were comfortable. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. There was a little bar on the first floor where you could get a drink or an ice bucket. Usually the front desk person was also the bartender. The elevators are small so you may have to make multiple trips. They will also store your luggage if you need to. Definitely a nice place.
“Great hotel”
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during our honeymoon. It is a great central location, close to the train station and has a underground tunnel just steps from the hotel doors that take you to the main area of Cannes with all of the shops. The hotel staff was very friendly. We rented a car for our stay an explored the surrounding area. Cannes was a great base to explore from. I would highly recommend this hotel. Very clean and a great pool on the rooftop for those days you want to stay away from the crazy busy beaches.
“good value”
The hotel was a good value for the price offered. The location is fairly central, the staff friendly, and while certainly not fancy, everything you need is there. The pleasant provence decor and recent renovations added to the good impression. Would go back.
“Beware of the location - next to highway”
This hotel looks fantastic on the marketing pictures. We stayed there 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located right next to a very big and extremely busy multiple lane highway. At first we got a room facing the highway. The glass in the windows were thick so the noise was not a problem but the room smelled from smoke. So we changed to a room facing the back yard and that is OK. No smell, no noise and OK room. Staff at hotel is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is charged separately and costs 14 Euros which is very expensive when you can have a breakfast at a cosy cafe across the street for just 6 Euros. The location is very close to the city center so it is very close to the main shopping street. One big advantage is that the parking outside is free. Parking in the city center is otherwise almost impossible and I see a lot of cars with parking fines in other streets. It takes only a few minutes to walk down to the beach so for us it was never a problem. I would definitely regard staying at this hotel again. But I would first try to find a hotel closer to the beach and the croisette but secure that the parking possibilities are there. If you bring your car to Cannes and are able to find a parking spot - leave it there for the rest of the week since it can be very difficult to find a new parking spot. If you decide to stay at this hotel make sure that the room you book is facing the back yard and not the highway.
“Good value and great customer service”
Although our room was not available on check-in and we needed to spend a night in an alternative hotel the staff could not have been more accommodating. The alternative hotel was of a very good quality and we were supplied with a suite for the night. Nothwithstanding that we were upgraded for the rest of our stay for our understanding of the situation - its nice to know that you don't have to complain in order to get good service. The location was close to the railway station so as expected was not the best of areas but was a short and safe walk into the city (after overcoming the initial trepidation) We felt well looked after at the Best Western but the room facilities could have been better - there was no coffee making facilities or fridge (despite being upgraded) and free wireless internet nowadays should be a given, rather than having to pay an extortionate amount for limited access. All in all a great time made possible by friendly and accommodating staff
“Nice hotel, not far from the front and really close to the train station”
Good hotel, pool access on the roof. The website describes "cheap" parking available, they offer parking in their secure car park for charging per night, which was not exactly cheap, but its secure. I think we could have parked close by for cheaper but we arrived late so had to follow advise from the reception.
“Great Affordable hotel in Cannes”
This place was a dream come true after the previous hotel on the other side of the train station. There is a short walk under the train station through a long tunnel to get to it, but it is not bad. You can still walk to the beach in 5-10 minutes. The pool deck on the rooftop is REALLY nice and has a great view. Huge bonus. If you can't afford to stay right on the beach, but don't want some little hovel, this is the place.
“Cant wait to get a room”
My Room was flooded, had to go to Hotel de Paris, for the first night. personnel did not make attempt to help with luggage or call for a cab i had to walk over to other hotel and arrange everything allone............
