“Tropical Paradise”
This is a great little retreat, just a block from the beach, in relaxing and beautiful Palm Cove, QLD. This village is not over-crowded and has lots of quaint restaurants. Skip staying in Port Douglas or Cairns, and head straight for this little corner of tropical paradise. The staff were extremely helpful, the room was quite nice and a good place to stay for a week. I would definitely go back again!!
“Tropical Relaxing”
Reef Retreat is exactly that. A retreat from the world. In a tranquil setting the rooms overlook the pool and bbq area through tropical vegetation & paperbark gums. Units have good sized balconies with table and chairs for relaxing after a day at the beach or doing one of the many various activities available. Would definately visit there again.

the reef retreat is one of the hotel in the world that can take you to paradise just lay in the pool in the warm sunshine the hotel is just off main beach road about 50 m the rooms are clean and comfortable the owner and his wife are on call and can give good advice of all the trips and place to see in cairns and the great barrier reef
“Certainly will go back there!”
Great location one minute from the beach and main shopping strip and restaurants. Very pretty setting and garden with rooms facing the inner treed area with pool. Unforunately because of the amount of trees and height of them, the pool area was in shade most of the day. We normally like to read by the pool but it was not sunny enough so we went to the beach each day instead. As this was only a minute away there was no inconvenence. The one bedroom suite we had was very comfortable with basic cooking and utensils in the kitchen, large flat screen TV in a generous size living area and a separate King Bed bedroom and bathroom., The only negative with the bathroom was the lack of vanity cupboard to store toiletries, makeup etc. but we made use of the shelves in the wardrobe which was outside the bathroom door. There was airconditioning in the bedroom and ceiling fans in each main room. There was a pleasant balcony outside with table and chairs which was perfect for breakfast or coffee. The managers were friendly and helpful and also knowledgable about tours and local attractions. Cleaning staff were efficient and helpful if we needed extra supplies ot towels.

We had 3 nights at the Reef Retreat last week. We found the Male owner very nice and friendly and kept the place very tidy as there is lots & lots of trees dropping leaves constantly. Our bedroom window overlooked a very rundown set of units that were pretty ugly and we were woken at 7am one morning to women talking loudly that we assume were permanent residents. We were on the first floor the balconies were nice overlooking the decking & pool area. We found the people above to be quite noisy though you could hear them moving chairs running taps.
