“The best place I have stayed in for the price.”
After seeing my room & the pool and gardens I went to the lobby to ask usual questions and was given maps which the very friendly girl wrote the location of all places that would be of use to me. I told her the hotel was much more than I had expected. The rooms are vary clean and large. You come in the front door & walk down the hall to your living room and have a couch to sit on & relax not the end of a bed like many hotels for 3 times the price. The staff were great booking my many trips to the reef & skyrail etc. For my 7 nights it just seemed like coming home every night. A great location .

“Cairns CBD hotel worthy of consideration”
Hotel looked slightly tired on the outside & in need of an exterior repaint. Rooms very adequate & spacious
“Location ideal, short walk to Esplanade, Casino and shops”
Found the location ideal. Very helpful staff, nice comfortable apartment right opposite Courthouse and Police Station. Short stroll to shopping centre, shops, restaurants, casino and wonderful Esplanade walk. Only downside, shower was over bath and even though base of bath was originally non-slip found that age had reduced this situation and base was quite slippery with no handrails on wall to reduce likelihood of a fall.
“Quiet location”
The apartments are in a very good location approx 5 - 10 min walk to the bars but far enough away so quiet at night. There is a double bed in bedroom with a double sofa bed in living room so suitable for 2 couples, apartments are nice and spacious with a well equiped kitchen area. Bathrooms are a good size with a powerfull shower, there is a full size washing machine, tumble drier, iron and ironing board housed within the bathroom (very useful). The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. If we were to go back to Cairns we would book here again.

My husband and I stayed at Il Centro Apartments for a week, we found the apartment clean and comfortable with secure off street parking, the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't use the pool or BBQ area though it looked neat and clean. The location was great ,walking distance to restaurants, shopping center and the marina. We would recomend the Il Centro to friends.
“good price for what you get”
Outside of hotel not as posh as some,so might be deceiving to some. It was a great 1 bedroom apartment. There was a kitchenette, living room, seperate bedroom and large bathroom with washer and dryer. Bed and pillows were comfortable, bathroom had large, fluffy towels. Hotel was within walking distance to restaurants, Woolworths(where you can buy food), the train station(which was good for going on the train to Kuranda) and to the harbour for going to the reef. Parking was free. Staff was very friendly and great at helping to plan day trips.
“Il Centro”
The location of the hotel was great. Very close to the convention center. BUT the front desk is only open limited hours making it hard to ask questions but they were friendly when you could find them. The room was reasonable but the bed sheets and pillows were scrathy and hard. The dishes in the kitchen were not clean. The had been put away with food remnants on them. Overall with pros and cons I would say average hotel. Fine for business person, not for a nice vacation.

Excellent stay. Rooms were fairly well maintained but outside of building needs a good clean and paint. But clean and spacious apartments Staff were very friendly and helpful. Situated opposite Police Station.
“not great”
the location is central and staff are friendly but the service and quality of the room lacks the attention to detail. the hotel office is closed during the evening with only an answering service to meet your needs.
