"The unit was spacious and very clean. The cleanest shower I’ve ever seen! The kitchen was well equipped. Comfy bed with blockout drapes. Heater was effective as the weather was wet and cold. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for a dated style of accommodation/decor. Lake access very picturesque and outdoor area would be enjoyable in warmed weather. Would really have appreciated a paved path across grass to our room to avoid sodden trip from car park, as we arrived in a downpour, but that’s a minor complaint. Overall a lovely quiet spot, with affordable accommodation."

"Comfortable and cosy, beautiful gardens, lovely deck outside to sit in the sun a with a cuppa and a book. Quiet area, but close enough to everything if you want to go out. Lots of beautiful local walks, birdlife, easy access to fishing. Pop over the bridge to a handy supermarket, or walk down the road for a coffee at the local bakery. The host, Kevin, does everything possible to ensure your stay is a truly enjoyable holiday! We will be going back as soon as possible!"
