“NOVOTEL BORDEAUX”

A Taxi ride from airport and once there the hotel is within walking distance of old Bordeuux. There is a resturant with good food and although not a typical French Menu,it is adequate when the feet are too sore to go out again! Clean spacious room and bathroom with a bath and shower..

“Very convenient for city”

The hotel is located just west of the city centre, about 10 minute's walk from the shops, theatre, cathedral, town hall etc. The area is fairly quiet, but there is a new shopping mall close by. The nearest tram stop at the Palais de Justice can be seen from the front of the hotel, about 100 metres away. The restaurant is very good, with prices comparable to similar standard restaurants in the city. There was a good choice at breakfast including cooked bacon, sausages and scrambled egg. We found taxis in Bordeaux very expensive, and the location is not particularly convenient for either the airport or the main railway station. You can get to the hotel from either location quite cheaply by public transport if you know what you are doing. I would recommend the hotel for anyone wanting a quiet comfortable stay in a city location.

“Good choice!”

Ideal location for sightseeing in Bordeaux, close to bus stops and tram stops, but most of the sights and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Would stay here again.

“Excellent location”

The Novotel is in an excellent location for exploring Bordeaux and the surrounding area with a good underground car park. The room was clean and comfortable with tea making facilities. The restaurant was basic and I would recommend walking into the city centre. It took 15 minutes to walk to the promenade along the river and the superb range of restaurants.

“had a very pleasant stay”

Had a very comfortable stay in novotel Bordeaux recently. I found the staff to be both very efficient and friendly. The hotel is very conviently located to the centre of bordeaux

“Good for a short stay”

As with all French hotels in cities the room was compact, however it was clean and fine for a one night stop over.

“Short city break - January 2010”

A Family break over 5 days at the Novotel Meriadeck in a superior standard room in January and we found the rooms clean and comfortable, and in a location perfect for walking into the nearby city centre. Be very wary of dirty crockery and cutlery in the restaurant - this is a big problem.
