“good hotel by train station”

Nice reasonably priced hotel near train station . Has a garage, Has internet-free. Good breakfast,Comfortable beds

“Mediocre but clean”

While this hotel is clean, quiet & convenient to the train station we had a few issues. We arrived a bit early so our room wasn't ready so we left our bags w/the front desk people & went out to explore Bordeaux. We got back about 3 & we given keys to our room - which wasn't ready. So we went back down & got a new room which was ready. We later went down for a drink then decided to have dinner in the restaurant. However, we waited for service that never came - the restaurant was apparently abandoned so we went elsewhere. It's a long hike thru a semi-dodgy area to go for lunch/dinner although the meal we had in the old town was excellent.

“BAD LOCATION. VERY BAD.”

While the hotel amenities are fine, the location is awful. Close to the railroad - yes. But far from absolutely everything else except for Sex shops and Sex clubs. For a meal, there are bad cafes at the railroad station; nothing more. The walk to downtown is well over a mile through neighborhoods better not ventured through at night. Yes there is a tram ('C') but to wait for it means standing out in tyne street (anything but safe), plus a walk from the tram stop to the actual downtown.
