“Hotel was great”
Found that the hotel was located 4-5 minutes walk from the Victoria area which is the student end of town. This meant a great atmosphere was just a stroll away. Also not too far from the train station which was the drop off point for the Jet Bus (airport to Bordeaux). The room was like a little apartment with a decent kitchen. Used the pan to boil water and the microwave grill to toast bread - perfect. Just could have done with a sharper knife and some tea cups - we are British afterall.
“Perfect hotel shame about location.”
The reception staff was very polite and courteous, we were half an hour early, so had to wait for the room to be cleaned, as they expect you to be out by 11 am, and we checked in at 2.30 pm, we were a bit surprised that we had to wait extra time for the room to be cleaned. The bedroom is very spacious, clean, the furniture is adequate, flat screen tv, loads of storage space, useful kitchenette and microwave, nice bathroom with bath and efficient shower. Useful little touches such as bottle of shower gel on the wall, hair dryer with electric rasor plug were welcome too. Very quiet, we never heard any noise. The best thing about it was the air conditionning, when we visited it was 37 degrees in Bordeaux so it was a welcome relief coming into our bedroom each day. Internet rate was good as well, 5 euros for 24 hours of consumption, not for the day but for the number of hours of use. And contrary to someone else's comment we found the connection was just as fast as our home internet, so very pleased with that. The only downside, is the location, it's in a rundown part of Bordeaux, with dodgy people hanging about the hotel and the street, but it's not a long walk to Place Victoire from where you can catch a tram to any parts of this lovely city. All in all we had an excellent time at this hotel, and I will be considering it again for my next trip to Bordeaux in a few weeks time.
“A nice little hotel close to the centre”
Overall, we were pretty impressed with the hotel. The staff were very friendly and the room was exactly what i'd expected from the photos on the website. The only criticism would be the small range of kitchen equipment provided and the internet wifi connection. The internet was VERY slow but also only 5euros for 24 hours of internet time and therefore not a major problem. On the whole it was a nice place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone.
“Cheap, basic and close to centre”
If you need somewhere to sleep without frills that's near the city centre, then I reckon this place is as good as any. Particularly good if you have a car as they have secure parking.
“Comfortable Hotel”
Finding the hotel was not difficult and parking was easy as there were many spots available. We couldn't check in till after 2pm although the staff let us park and leave our bags so we were free to walk around and explore the neibourhood. There were plenty of caffeś and restaurants only about 300m walk away. We arrived during the summer market festival which was located in the centre of town which is about 1km away from the hotel so walking there and back was not a difficult task. The room was clean and the hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Our room had a kitchenette and was rather spacious. There was washing facilities at the hotel and very close by down the road. Overall we had no problems at this hotel, even the wireless internet had a strong connection. I would not hesitate to stay again one day.
“Nice hotel but not in a very appealling area of Bordeaux”
The hotel is nice and not expensive.
“It was great!”
It was very central, the rooms had a kitchenette that was very handy, the bathrooms were clean and actually had a shower head versus alot of other bathrooms in France. I would definitly stay there again if I was to go back to Bordeaux. Only Issue would be that the reception closes pretty early, and then it gets complicated. If you want your key you have to find the number on the door, then speak in french with them to get the key out of a safe. It was really hard but luckily we were with someone who spoke french!
“Basic Hotel but convenient for exploring Bordeaux”
Arriving by car, the hotel entrance driveway was not easy to spot at 1st try. Parking seems reasonably secure. Check-in good. Reception staff very helpful and with some English. Breakfast just continental, but convenient. Common parts (lino floor)had wiff of disinfectant. Room OK but somewhat basic (wood floor can be noisy). Shower pressure just adequate and shower head angle poor. Hotel in Student area, which looks rundown, but seemed relatively safe to walk.
“Good value for money but terrible location”
The staff was polite, the room was clean and good size. It was all good inside the hotel except the location and the surrounding neighborhood was terrible. You were scared to go back to the hotel at night due to the lonley, dark alleys in your way back. I wouldn't stay again in that hotel.
“"Not impressed"”
The location was very poor. My bedroom window was overlooking people who were sleeping rough. Each night I was not feeling safe walking back to the hotel. Receptionist not too friendly and breakfast very expensive for what it was.
