“Best Hotel In Switzerland For the Money!”

I can't say enough positive things about Hotel Du Nord! I stayed there twice in the summer of 2010. It's an absolute gem located in the heart of Interlaken. Hotel Du Nord is convenient to Interlaken Ost and Interlaken West train stations, a grocery store, and many shops and restaurants. Free breakfast in the hotel dining room is excellent with lots of choices. Newly remodeled rooms and bathrooms are far superior to those you find in other hotels in this price range. The comfort, cleanliness, and style of the rooms, along with the accommodating attitude of all of the the Hotel Du Nord staff are what you find in hotels which charge hundreds of dollars more per night for a room. The front desk personnel even helped me print out my e-mail train ticket in advance so I wouldn't miss my train. The hotel is very quiet. When checking out, I told the Hotel Du Nord staff that "PERFECTION" is the word that best describes their hotel, staff, and services. Hotel Du Nord is the only hotel I will stay in when I visit Interlaken!

“Great Hotel”

A great hotel in Interlaken--perfect for our family vacation. Friendly staff and clean rooms. An example of staff commitment to customer service: the hotel has limited parking. We arrived after a day trip from the hotel to find that there were no designated hotel parking spaces available. I asked the front desk manager what I should do and she immediately came out and moved her car so that I could have her space. She double parked her car for the rest of her shift so that we could have a designated parking space.

“Excellent Vistas & Comfort”

a wonderful hotel with the very high standard of customer service with superb attention to detail and nice little touches in the superbly appointed room with terrace. vistas from the room balcony, lookout toward the snowcovered Jungfrau. superb selection of quality food for continental breakfast with full breakfast available on request. its a shame its closing in november 07 for refurbishment. i would have gone back to this hotel for christmas 2007.

“great view of mountain and city”

We enjoyed this hotel. It is a great location to reach the west train station and activities on the main street and park.

“Very friendly hotel”

we stayed for two nights and the personnel were very helpful, with really good manners and they help us to find information about train schedules, I just would recommend they clean their carpets mainly in the room it was very dirty and old. the situation of the hotel very close to go anywhere walking, very satisfied.

“Definitely worth going back to”

Very friendly receptionist who greeted us with genuine enthusiasm. Hotel staff were all excellent. Room was very comfortable. Very attentive service throughout our stay. Thoroghly recommended.

“Interlaken”

Certainly not a 4 star hotel! Hotel very dated. Good location for Interlaken Ost station and away from the busy areas of Interlaken. No where secure to leave your luggage on day of departure.

“Hotel is ok but nothing special”

The room was very spacious but a typical Eurpean condition. Internet is very expensive. Basically $4 for one hour. I would not stay here again. Nothing terrible but I think I could do better.

“Not impressed”

I dont recommend staying at this hotel for long periods, the bed quality are very low, toilet is good, furnitures are old, house maid service is bad, location is very good, breakfast is not good.

The hotel is 3 -2 star They have some restriction for some nationalities (Asians, Indians,Arabs) !!!! They don't welcome kids.
