“Great stay!”
The hotel staff was excellent. I was so impressed by how many languages they all spoke, and they were great working with travelers with various needs and concerns. Getting advice about restaurants (and getting a reservation booked by them), transportation, and places to visit was easy and friendly. Our room was great - simple and comfortable. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. It was a great location - lots of shops and easy transportation.
“Convenient Appartment”
Overall we were very pleased with our appartment in The Adagio. It was very quiet. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped - but would have benefitted with an oven and a toaster. Instructions in English for the microwave would have been good. The staff was friendly and the reception lounge and corridors were modern, clean and tidy. It was expensive for a studio appartment with a drop down bed. However the free city travel pass was appreciated. .
“Practical choice for families”
Hotel was clean, modern and conveniently located a short walk to old city. We had a suite which comfortably slept four and included a small kitchen. Kitchen was fully equipped but lacked any staples such as oil or salt. A supermarket is one block away. Staff was friendly and helpful. Indoor parking is extra.
“Excellent location and value”
This hotel, with its well equiped kitchen and separate toilet/sink, and shower/tub/sink rooms is ideal for people travelling with families. We were travelling with our son and there was plenty of room and the pull out bed was long enough for his 6 ft. height. The location is an easy walk across the river to the old part of Basel, and the trams (tourists receive a free pass on all trams) are close by.
“Kitchen saves you cash in expensive Switzerland.”
The aparthotel is great. I particularly appreciated being able to cook in the kitchen, much cheaper than eating out! However the kitchen could have been better equipt. The staff were fantastic. Although the beds fold down from the wall, they are much comfier you would think, and I had a great nights sleep.
