“Affordable convenience in Central Barcelona.”

This hotel is in a great location near Plaza Espanya but more residential in feeling. The rooms are adequate size by European standards with good finishes.

Area recommendations

I would recommending exploring the coastal towns in a short train ride from Barcelona center like Sitges and Vilanova i la Geitru.

“Modern and Relaxing”

Once my cruise was over, I decided to spend a few days in Barcelona. I made reservations at Hotel Vincci Arena using Expedia. The hotel I wanted to stay at was bookked up. My Expedia phone rep. did some research for me and found this hotel. Upon arrival, I loved the way the hotel looked from the outside. Modern boutique style hotel. I was greeted wamly at the desk and immeadiately was checked in and shown where my room was. The hotel lobby is beautiful. I stepped out the elevator and loved the look of the look of the hallways. Dark but lit with green lights that had the room numbers on it. I opened my door and was taken aback at the beauty of the room. Modern, dark woods, rich burgundy colors. A nice size bathroom with a deep tub. Had a very relaxing feel considering the modern elegance of the room. I felt extremely comfortable, relaxed and glamorous with my surroundings. The hotel is on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood. The front desk was very helpful with tips on how to get around in Barcelona ,good restaurant suggestions. All in all, a great experience.

“Nice modern hotel”

Nice modern hotel within walking distance to the Plaza espana where there is a subway station and a stop for the airport shuttle. Very nice sized rooms with king size beds and nice modern bathrooms. It was one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in in europe. The sorrounding neighborhood left a little to be desired, There are not a ton of sorrounding resturants at night and it is about a 10-15 min subway ride to the main area, but it wasn't a horrible study. Internet is a bit pricey at about 17 euros for 24 hours. Overall a nice hotel

“Good location.”

you need to take metro/taxi to the Center where Las Ramblas is, but the metro is two blocks away and a taxi is 10 Euros. I liked the location.

“Great place to stay!”

I really commend the staff at the front desk for their professionalism and knowledge. They were comfortable in communicating the best tourist spots to visit and all of the transportation options to do it! It was a very nice hotel, and definitely worth the money. It was clean, quiet, and very comfortable.

Area recommendations

In Barcelona, I would recommend going to La Ramblas where the tourist can see the flair of many cultures and lots of people. But on a nice day, it is a great place to take a walk, have a nice lunch at an outdoor cafe and just people-watch!

“Highly recommend this hotel”

This hotel is in a great location to walk to many areas around Plaza Espanya. It also is very close to the train stations to take anywhere else you want to go. It's off the main street so the noise is less. The staff is very friendly and accomodating

“A decent hotel!!!!”

Service at the front desk was not very nice. When checking in early, the worker' did not offer to help me move my luggage into their storage room until the room was ready. No service there. The SPA's room, has 3 equipments, one of the treadmill was not working. , second one made noise and the last one was old and outdated. No water dispenser in the exercise room. . No soap or shampoo in the shower room. Bed is extremly HARD, like lying on an concrete floor. I received major back pain during my visit.. Love the location, convienient to Metro. Not in an tourist area. but walking distant to the Water fountain.

“Bad location”

The hotel was clean and well decorated, but it was not in a good location. We had to take a train or a cab to almost everything that we wanted to visit (or walk for 30 minutes). In addition, many of the receptionists were rude when we approached them to ask about directions, locations of restaurants, exchanging money, etc.

“good hotel but...”

Condition, cleanliness, and quality of the hotel was above average but the staff, especially ones working at the front desk, fall short of my expectation. They were unfriendly. I do not know if they were simply reluctant to answer my questions, or did not how to answer the questions. My expecatation was that the front desk should be able to asnwer typical questions from travlers like me. Staff at different hotel (also 4 star) was much nicer, and willing to help you. Also free wifi was not provided as many of the 4/5 star hotels in Europe now provide it.

“Good choice”

I had a great experience at Vincci Arena, the location was good, near a metro station and within walkable distance to one of the touristy areas called "La Plaza de España". The room decoration was to die for and the customer service was decent,
