“great location”

Great location - close to everything - and the Metro is just steps away. first night we got a room with out an external window which was a bit weird and we changed it the next day . hotel itself is very nice,and the rooms are unique , but wouldn't recommend it to friends ( who are not a couple) traveling together as the bathroom is not very private . all in all - cant bit the location , but a bit expensive for the room u get.

“Great hotel unless you need some help”

My stay at Olivia Plaza was generally good - room was nice, outside portion of the restaurant was beautiful and staff were generally very helpful. That is until my cell phone was stolen. When I went back to the hotel to ask to use the phone to make a call to let my family and mobile carrier know what had happened I was told. Sorry but no I couldn't use the hotel phone (I had offered to pay for the phone call) Up until then I would have definitely stayed here again...not anymore.

“location, maintenance and the reception knowledge and services are the titles of the hotel”

location, maintenance and the reception knowledge and services are the titles of the hotel. I didn't like the small T.V in the room. There is no bath in the room and there is no Gym in the hotel. Don't ask the Reception help with a taxi to the airport when you leave the hotel. The taxi driver charged us extra 7 euros that he pays the hotel. It is easy to catch a taxi outside the hotel even during the night. We asked the reception before, and was told "no extra payment".

“Barcelona Base Camp”

Extremely comfortable and clean room. Neo-modern decor, with frosted glass panels around the toilet and shower. Well stocked mini-bar, but pricey. The cost of convienence. Friendly staff that spoke English, and were very helpful. I very nice hotel.

Area recommendations

Catalonya and the city center is very beautiful with its architecture. Many sites in this city we have not touched yet!

“Great place to stay in Barcelona”

Recently visited Barcelona and stayed at the Olivia Plaza Hotel. It was easy to catch the bus to the airport and walk to all major attractions. Rooms were well maintained and I was happy to find that the pictures on the website matched what I found when I arrived. My room overlooked the Placa de Catalunya which was a great view. It was a bit noisy late at night but I think it just depends on what events are taking place that weekend--I was there during a political protest and fans celebrating Barcelona's win for the European Cup. Definitely a place I would stay again.

“Excellent hotel in the heart of Barcelona”

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. Modern, comfortable interior design in a prime location. Room was overlooking Plaza Catalunya, basically right off of Las Ramblas. Huge selection of restaurants nearby. Hotel staff was very accommodating. Overall great experience. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to any traveler.

We visited Barcelona mid-May. Weather was great! No rain, sun shining, yet not too hot.

“Great hotel, great location”

Location, location, location! Can't beat this hotel for that. Very high standard 4 star hotel - check in was smooth, the room was available on arrival, room very comfortable, modern decor, bathrooms a little on the smaller side but that's a minor point. Overall great service and ambience and of course, the location is great for sightseeing, shopping and everything else!

“Loved the location”

Staff was friendly and courteous. The affordable Aerobus to and from the airport was less than a 1/2 block from the hotel front door. It was a very close walking distance to many of the sights of Barcelona. The wireless internet actually worked in the room---which hasn't always been the case at other hotels I've been at. The safe was large enough to accomodate a laptop, a camera, and other things. The one difficulty in the room was a very heavy sliding glass door for the toilet and shower.

Area recommendations

The areas adjacent to the Olivia Plaza hotel contain many of the sights and shopping areas of Barcelona.
