“COURTYARD LOCATION OVERLOOKING HARBOR NEAR LARAMBLAS”

The hotel clerk was a real gentlemen and very helpful. The internet service was only in the lobby at the reception desk, but they were always helpful with any internet needs. The room was a good size, clean, and colorful with good furnishings and very nice bathrooms. You had to pay 2 euros per day extra for the safe in the room but that was well spent. The courtyard outside has a fountain and an adjacent empty building but the view of the Mediterranean Sea and the sailboats in the harbor were wonderful. I would stay in the hotel again and feel safe in that location just a block from LaRamblas, the tour bus line, and the center of all the tourist action in Barcelona.

“Great location, great staff”

I loved the location of this hotel in the harbourside area of the city. It was a quick walk to the main shopping/restaurant strip of the Rambla, the harbourside aquarium/shops/cafes and about 1.5km walk from the nearest beach. You could also walk to one of the cablecar stops from here. The hotel itself had great foyer areas, although the rooms themselves were quite small and had I not been travelling alone, I don't think I would have found the size very comfortable. The beds are firm, which is OK by me, but the pillows seemed to be square lumps of concrete which I didn't enjoy so much. During my stay (5 days) I found all the hotel staff to be extremely friendly and helpful with everything I required. The breakfast was very filling and, for a European hotel, not too expensive at €9.

“Lovely hotel, great location!”

This was a lovely hotel in an absolutely fantastic location in Barcelona. It was safe and clean and I would definately stay there again. The room was lovely and the staff really friendly. We didn't bother with breakfast as we'd read reviews that it wasn't that great. However, with loads of lovely fresh bakeries and cafes right nearby, you would be wasting time eating in the hotel anyway.

“Modern ducal palace”

The location of this hotel is great - close to the sea front, Las Ramblas and the gothic quarter. It is modern and cosy. The only 2 minus points against this hotel are: the fact that I could hear other people flushing their toilets (maybe because my room was on the ground floor); and the water pressure wasn't great.

“Nice Hotel in Las Ramblas”

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, location was at the end of Las Ramblas near the pier so depending upon where you want to stay this may/may not be convenient. Not real well light up at night.

“Nice, Modern and Well Located”

The staff were friendly and polite and very helpful. The hotel room was very modern and comfortable. Hotel location was very convenient, just had to walk down one road and we were at the Marina end of the La Ramblas. There is also a metro station at that end as well and the tour bus stop. However, because of the proximity to the main area it was very noisy outside the hotel at the weekend. Our first night was in a ground floor room but due to the noise of people passing outside in the streets I hardly slept a wink so we asked to be moved to the fourth floor and we could hardly hear the nose up there. I would very much recommend this hotel.

“Good but noisy.”

Great location and unusual design. Staff excellent and breakfast good value compared to local restaurants. We were however disturbed most nights by noise from people going home at 2am and 3am in the morning. This wouldn't be a problem if yoiu don't have a room facing the street. Overall, a good hotel.
