“Great location, great price & wonderful service!”

I can't recommend this place enough! The location is prime. It's just down the road (5 minute walk) from the main strip in Seminyak, without the hastle of a busy road, so it's nice and quiet. The staff are wonderful. They recommended a great day spa for my friend and I, and one night at 3am when I got the munchies, I asked a staff member where I could get some good quality Mie Goreng, and he told me to wait right there, drove off into Seminyak and came back with the best local Mie Goreng I had ever had, and gave me change out of $5! Naturally I gave him a big tip as I didn't even ask him to do that for me. The whole team there were so lovely. The hotel rooms are very spacious and clean too. The pool is slightly heated so you can go for a dip in the middle of the night and it's still devine. The best part about it was the price, I have never stayed somewhere so central for that price. The breakfast was the only thing that could do with improvement. They didn't tend to re-stock the platters once they were finished, so I recommend getting there earlier rather than later.

Area recommendations

I would recommend Seminyak because it's quite central for good shopping, quality food and beaches, and there are less obnoxious Juveniles walking around.

Getting around

I hired a scooter for $5 per day. Don't worry if you haven't ridden a scooter before, you will pick it up really easily, so long as you know the road rules and are comfortable driving on the left-hand side of the road. They are really cheap to fill up too. You can fill a tank for $2. There are people all around the place with petrol stored in Absolut Vodka bottles all over the place, which aren't hard to find if you just ask a local, they will tell you where to get them.

“Villa Diana, good value for money”

This is a nice quiet boutique like hotel in mid-range price. The rooms were clean and modern. The pool area was well designed in a small space and was right outside our room's doorstep (as was everything else). Friendly staff and nice breakfast. We just stayed one night on transit which it was perfect for. Not sure if i'd stay there if I was looking for a resort holiday but good if you plan on being out exploring a fair bit combined with a bit of downtime by the hotel pool as you couldn't entertain yourself at the hotel all day.

“Great Potential”

The only negative thing about this hotel is some of the staff. Though everyone was always courteous (I would never worry about items going missing or anything serious), sometimes they just seemed indifferent to us. The man working front desk seemed very ignorant about the area when we asked for suggestions for shopping locations or acceptable prices for taxi fares, etc. However there was also a woman sometimes at the front desk-- she was very helpful. Service in the dining room was very slow, however room service was very quick. We stayed at the hotel one of the days of our stay, and asked that they clean our room for us while we were at dinner, giving them a two-hour time-frame. They said they would definitely have it cleaned for us-- they did not clean it at all that day, which was very disappointing. If you will not be spending much time at the hotel, I definitely recommend it, but if you plan on spending a day indoors, I think the attitude of the staff could get to you. On an unrelated side-note, if you are older and have mobility issues, be advised the only way out of the bathtub is down several wooden steps, and there is no support rail anywhere near by. We would go to Villa Diana Bali again.

Area recommendations

Legion Road starts out weak near the hotel but picks up in shops and quality the closer you get to the beach (25 minute walk). Also take a taxi to Kuta for more restaurant variety and shops (be advised, you will never get much diversity in shops.)

Outdoors or beach

If you are going to buy something from a beach vendor, only offer about half of the first price they suggest. Never pay more than 60%.

“Villa Diana is tranquil must!!”

Upon checking in at Villa Diana we had been up graded due to an error on their part, which was great! Our 5 night stay there was very relaxing, with cocktails by the pool and did I mention the room was amazing. The only thing is the place is a little out of the way, however still a cheap taxi ride into Kuta and surrounds.

“Amazing, Relaxing Villas - Stay here!!”

As soon as we checked in we were impressed, not only were the Villa staff very friendly and helpful but the facilities were amazing. Although it is about 15-20 minute drive from Kuta Beach it was the relaxing, quiet resort that we were looking for. The Villa Pool was perfect, you could jump in and it felt like jumping into a nice warm bath. We stayed in both the Standard and Deluxe Rooms and loved both, as they very spacious and had everything we needed (comfy bed, fantastic shower, fridge & cable tv). We were very happy with Villa Diana Bali and would reccommend this hotel highly, if we ever return we will definitly be returning to this hotel in a heartbeat!

“Relaxin in raining days...”

Was good to stay in the hotel relaxing during the week that rain almost all the time. Around the swimming pool was the best place to stay. The staffs was helpful when I need some medicine and indicate where and what to buy.

“Great Hotel”

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Diana. The hotel was clean and the rooms overlooked the pool. We arrived early and they kindly organised an early check in for us. The breakfast was good and room service was great. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the main areas. So be preapared to walk but a good location as near Seminak and Legian. The surrounding area is not great as there is a large river and rubbish is often dumped on the banks. However we only walked past this a few times so did not effect our stay. We would stay there again!

“Good Hotel”

The hotel is fairly new and has a nice cental courtyard around the pool with all rooms looking or opening onto the pool area. Very nice and with friendly staff.

“Not impressed”

I was displeased by the fact that the bathroom of my room only had one tiny soap and one towel per person. The bedroom was too big for the room, so it felt a bit claustrophobic. The swimming pool are was nice and the breakfast buffet was pretty reasonable.

Area recommendations

Jl. Oberoi and surroundings in Seminyak, because of its nice shopping area, bars and restaurants.
