Rooms
The Nirwana Resort and Spa offers 18 guestrooms. Balconies open to ocean or garden views. Beds feature triple sheeting and premium bedding. A pillow menu is available. 20-inch televisions come with satellite channels and DVD players. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided along with multi-line phones. Accommodations at this 4.5-star property have kitchenettes with refrigerators and coffee/tea makers. Guests have access to shared bathrooms. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations, bathrobes, slippers, and makeup/shaving mirrors. Direct-dial phones, air conditioning, and complimentary bottled water are also included. Select guestrooms do not include complimentary access to all property facilities.

“Amazing location”
The Nirwana is situated on the side of a very steep valley surrounded by jungle foliage, monkeys and other wildlife , wonderful views of the many varieties of trees etc. Lovely unique pool where you can look over the edge down into the valley to the river below. Very good food and there is a spa too. Staff very helpful. Very peaceful location yet only 15 minutes away from Ubud , the culture capitol of Bali, great.
“Relaxing Break”
The staff at Nirwana are very friendly and professional. Pick this resort if you want relaxation and isolation; as the resort is situated at the end of a 500m driveway on the outskirts of the nearby fishing village Candi Dasa - but dont worry just hire a scooter at a very cheap price if you want to zip in and out (dont advise walking as there isnt much footpath until you get to town). The resort is directly on the water however there isnt a beach due to a long ocean beach wall - instead a very nice swimming pool awaits. Plently to see in the local area if you want day trips. We had a fantastic break and enjoyed many days just hanging out by the pool - having massages / treatments in the Nirwana spa.
“Don't go there”
It is utterly ridiculous that the Nirwana Resort and Spa be advertised as a 4,5 star hotel. We stayed 3 nights there. On the first night we were in the bathroom having a bath after a long day of travel when my partner noticed a shadow moving by the window. The venetian blinds were closed but there was still space between the slats and the window wasn't frosted as one might have expected in a bathroom. At first we thought it was nothing but then he saw the shadow move again and ran out to confront whoever it was spying on us in the bath! Turns out it was a member of the hotel's staff who after initially denying it, admitting to spying on us and apologised. We decided after his apology not to tell the manager as we did not want him to get fired. However, this was not the end of the hotel staff's indiscretions. A member of the restaurant staff subsequently decided it was his business to ask what had happened when his friend had spied on us in the bath and later told me when my partner was not around that he had looked my name up on the hotel computer (he was restaurant staff and had no business checking my details for any personal reasons) and wanted to be "friends" with me on facebook!! The restaurant serves very low quality food with rice that has started to go black at the ends and wilted salad. My Partner spent the first night with severe diarrhea. The hotel looks the part but the staff had no boundaries and I certainly did not feel comfortable nor completely safe there.
