“Lovely Escape from Winter cold”
Enjoy! Good value for money; lovely gardens, direct access to beach, good restaurants all along beach front. Hate people who lay claim to pool side lounges at dawn and then feel entitled to use them on and off all day. Sun lounges on the balconies could help solve this problem. Only draw back for us was the lack of windows or doors that could be opened. We hate air conditioning and would prefer a ceiling fan and/or windows with screens if necessary.
“Great hotel to stay in Sanur”
Segara Village was a great hotel to stay in the Sanur Beach region. The grounds and gardens are spectacular, the pools are terrific. Breakfast had a large assortment of foods to choose from. Afternoon tea is free if you're around the pool area at 4:00pm. Our room had the most comfortable and largest bed we've ever slept in – I wanted to take it home. There are so many terrific restaurants with a 10 minute walk of the hotel as are a couple of beach markets. I have nothing but positive comments for this lovely hotel and the whole Sanur Beach area.
“Will definately go back”
We arrived early but the staff were very friendly and we did not wait long to get our room. The pools are fantastic, the staff very friendly. The Jacuzzi Bar is definately a highlight. Not too many children there but is kid friendly. The rooms are clean and the service is top notch.
“Lovely Hotel in a lovely location.”
Very well laid out Hotel with beatiful gardens. Loved the Superior rooms as they had walk in showers (not over bath) and the rooms were very comfortable, roomy and well laid out. Staff were great and ever willing to help. Breakfast was good, although the Balinese still do not know how to cook bacon?? Great restaurants and bars nearby and ample markets for Bali bartering. The beach here is far supreior to Kuta and you can actually swim without fear of rips. The Club rooms are even better and you get a private pool.
“Great Location”
I've been to Bali several times but never on this side of the island (Sanur). The hotel was good value for money, close to the beach and the staff were great! Definitely great value for families but perhaps a little quiet for young or single people. Room and bar service hours should also be much later than 11pm! Overall a great experience!
“Segara Village as an overnight hotel in Denpasar”
I stayed at the Segara Village Hotel for one night, arriving from Malaysia in early afternoon and departing for Timor-Leste after at breakfast the next day. I stayed in a second floor room with a comfortable bed, television carrying the Indonesia cable selection and a functional bathroom. The hotel comprises a large garden, in which are located bars, restaurants and the business center, on the periphery of which are the rooms and villas. The garden ends at a communal path that runs along the shore above the high-water mark and joins all the hotels, restaurants and stores along the beach for pedestrians. This makes it simple for guests to eat in any of the neighboring establishments by walking a short distance. The bar near the shore path served an adequate cold beer. The self-service breakfast was simple but of good quality with enough Western food to provide variety at this touchy time of day. The business center was managed by an excellent English speaker and offered a high-speed Internet connection. The challenge in Denpasar is getting to the hotel from the airport and getting back there again. I always buy a fixed rate ticket at the airport. It cost Rupiahs 90,000. I arranged with the same driver to collect me the next day but he didn't. Instead I hailed a cabby waiting at the hotel's entrance and was charged Rupiah 100,000. The daily rate was high but typical of Denpasar hotels of this standard when reserved for a single night.
“Pleasant stay”
The Hotel is really nice. big and beautiful swimming pools and really nice garden. Rooms not the top, be sure to have the bungalow or the Deluxe room, cottage or superior are not really good
“Excellent service and lovely room”
We had a beautiful newly renovated room with modern TV and very clean. Service was excellent and gardens beautifully kept.
“Expensive, but nice pools”
Rooms are poor quality for the money you're paying. Location (on beach) and facilities (3 pools and games) great
