“Nice place to stay”

We stayed at a 3 room villa for 5 nights. Very nice with own pool. Pool was cleaned every morning. Little bugs like ants and stuff. They did not have breakfast buffet every day and the food there was ok. The Spa was nice too. They let me jacuzzi with wife even if I did not pay for it. I did a pedicure and they massaged the whole foot as well! Overall, the hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly who helped us renting a car and other things. But the street outside is very noisy and busy, but you don't hear anything of the noise inside the villas and you must go other places to to see some attractions or do stuff if your not interested to go to the beach. Beach is about 15 min walk from hotel.

“Quiet Oasis in Kuta”

Desamuda is located in Kuta on a pretty busy street. I was afraid we would hear the street noise from our room but that was not the case at all! The staff is quite friendly and ready to accommodate all your needs. They have a service where they will drop you off where you want, and you just have to find a cab for the ride back. Our party got a 2 room suite. The grounds are really nice, and we loved having our own pool. It is a little small if you have more than 3-4 people in your party but there is a larger pool you can swim at. Our room was also pretty open there wasn't a living area we could hang out that was indoors and air conditioned but it worked. The bugs come out at night so don't forget your bug spray! We really enjoyed the free breakfast - all that fresh fruit!

“Very satisfied”

Would definitely recommend Desamuda Village. Had a villa with a private pool - about 5m x 3m so a decent size for the 4 of us after a day out. The villa itself was well set out. Ensuite bathrooms with outdoor showers in both bedrooms. Bedrooms air conditioned and has mosquito nets. Both bedrooms had TV and a safe is in the main bedroom. We had 2 living areas; one upstairs and the main one downstairs which is great with teenagers. Villa serviced daily and at night staff returned to turn down beds. Desamuda run a shuttle into Kuta or into Seminyak area - just have to book a time or take a chance. Location is a bit off putting to begin with but it seems that alot of villas in this area are located down narrow lanes. A walk out to the main road (only a short walk) finds boutique shopping and restaurants aplenty. A short taxi ride to Seminyak beach also provides more shopping and the beach. Taxis are extremely easy to find and are very cheap. The only thing we feel could be improved is the breakfast at Desamuda. They probably could include a couple more varieties of cereal, maybe some yoghurt and a better selection of fruit. They do cook up eggs on request and their omelettes are yummy. Overall, we were thrilled with our accommodation and really miss the outdoor shower.

“Loved it but would probably try somewhere else next time”

We had villa #17 - 3 bedroom villa with pool. It is really neat with the open air living area, and the kids just loved having the pool at their disposal all the time. My son spent more time in the outdoor shower than in the pool, and I think we will need to put an outdoor shower in our villa at home now. The villa was very nice, but in all fairness it could use a bit of a face lift. Some of the finish is showing it's age and a little upgrade would be great for the villa. The only other thing that I would maybe change is the breakfast. It would be nice to have more selection at the breakfast. I paid for the breakfast ahead of time with my room booking, but probably wouldn't have if I had known that we would be bored of it after 2 days. If we went back to Bali, we would probably stay somewhere that is more of a resort with more activities and entertainment for the kids. If it were just my wife and I, the place would have been great, but for the kids we found some of the other resorts in the area had a lot more for them to do. All in all, our stay at the Desamuda was fantastic. All the staff were excellent, the villa was nice and the kids just loved the pool in our villa. As our first time in Bali, we were happy with everything at Desamuda.

“Average Villas”

Stay was quite pleasant at the hotel. Hotel and room was clean, but smaller than it was in the pictures of the hotel website and less impressive. Breakfast and food at the hotel restaurant was average. Security was not the best as my mobile phone battery was stolen from the locked room. Staff was oblivious to the theft report. Staff could improve their language skills, although the staff was very polite and pleasant, but so is everyone in Bali. Hotel has very nice pool (in fact two of them). Also hotel has one way transfer to the Kuta and Seminyak beach.

“Quiet getaway”

Lovely quiet villa away from the business and dirtiness of Kuta. Perfect for a quiet getaway or for people with children. Barely heard or saw anyone else there, staff extremely helpful and not overcrowded. Staff will drop you anywhere in Kuta, Legian or Seminyak free of charge, very helpful though taxis are everywhere and extremely cheap. Didn't visit but apparently the spa there is fantastic, just more expensive than other places. Not ideal if you're after the full resort experience, pool bar, cocktails, etc. And don't book any tours through the hotel. We found them in town much cheaper, got our white water rafting for half the price the hotel quoted by talking to staff at Billy's Bar in Legian

“Three Bedroom Villa - Fantastic”

We were pleasantly surprised with the space and design of the three bedroom villa. The photos don't do this place justice, the private pool, open living space and bathrooms are amazing! This hotel is located on a road with plenty of shops and spas in Seminyak, away from tacky Kuta. The staff at this hotel are very pleasant and efficient. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel.

“Not too bad but in need of an uplift”

The hotel staff were lovely and the actual setting is nice, however it does need some updating. Our room felt in need of a refresh. The breakfast was a little uninspiring too. The pool was lovely, but also tired looking.
