Parliament restaurant - Low-key restaurant with city views is popular with the business crowd open for buffet breakfast (surcharge applies), lunch and dinner as well as brunch. The signature dish is Fillets of Dover Sole Meunier with Mushroom and Lemon Cream Sauce. Menu varies.
Explorer's Lounge - This relaxed bar-lounge serves appetizers, drinks and is open all day.
Plaza Lounge - Located on a mezzanine overlooking the lobby, this informal, modern cafe is open all day for coffee, tea, cakes, and pastries.
Recreation
The picturesque area of Plaka is ideal for a morning or evening stroll. Above Plaka, just one kilometer from the hotel, stands the Acropolis, arguably the most important monument in the Ancient Greek world and a must-see for first-time visitors to the city.

“Second time there”
We like this hotel, its personnel and its location so that we have been twice and would go again any time.
“Would definitely stay again!”
This is a wonderful hotel. Centrally located to everything, great amenities, and very affordable. I stayed here based on other reviews and because I wanted a convenient place being that this was my first trip to Athens. I liked it so much, I extended my stay. This is an excellent place to stay for business travelers as well.
“Good value, excellent location”
Having booked my room at the NJV Athens Plaza on short notice, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Suffice it to say I was highly pleased. First, the location is truly a gem - while not often discussed, the plaza is an incredibly vibrant, large square full of cafes, flower and plant booths and overall energy. What's more, it's a convenient walk to the Acropolis area and public garden (both worth a visit), and very close to the Plaka area -- probably the nicest and most charming area I saw in my visit. Certainly agree that the NJV is not a 5-star, but with that in mind, it's a fine hotel. Staff was helpful and fine, room was clean and well-outfitted, and the grounds were very nice. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
“wonderful experience”
The Athens Plaza exceeded my expectations--from the doorman to the checkout desk--everyone was kind, friendly, and efficient. The location is the best., walking distance to the Plaka and to Kolonaki. The rooms are lovely and the water pressure in the shower is perfect.. The restaurant (coffee shop) is lovely and convenient. To make life even easier, walk out of exit 5 at the airport, buy a bus ticket at the kiosk, take bus X95 to Syntagma, walk across the square, arrive at the hotel for only 5 euros. At the Plaza, life in Athens is great.
“Hotel Accommodates”
We booked this hotel through Expedia, hoping for a room with a view of the Acropolis. Because it was done online, we doubted this request would be fulfilled. When we arrived, we asked again what could be done, and the hotel upgraded us to a wonderful room on the seventh floor with a stunning view of the acropolis.
“PERFECT LOCATION FRIENDLY STAFF”
My first objective was to get a hotel near everywhere, well this is the one. It is right on the syntagma square where almost everything happens, city sightseeing busses cross it several times during a tour, full of coffee houses & restaurants also very close to shopping areas, close to National Garden, metro etc. We didn't dine at the hotel because there were lots of them and we were anxious to go everywhere.
“Good hotel, good location, good value”
Located on Syntagma Square, two doors down from the most prestigious hotel in the city, NJV Athens Plaza Hotel had everything we needed: convenient location, good service and a clean, comfortable room. You can spend much more next door if money is no object and get a more luxurious experience, but we don't travel to spend a lot of time in the hotel. I would recommend going next door for drinks on the roof where the view of the city is fabulous.

Very good Hotel, Clean, Excellent Location, Breakfast Buffet excelent and the Service was very good. I will definnetely stay again in that hotel
“Can't wait to go back”
Excellent location, minutes to train and stations, Plaka and shopping. Walking distant to most historical sites. Request a room facing Sintagma Square. Then you will have amazing views of the Parliment and the Acropolis. The staff are all extremely nice and helpful. On sunday, you can watch switching of the guards at 10:30am from your balcony.
