“Extremely comfortable Hotel, Fabulous Service!”
Exceptional personalized service, great breakfast and a great neighborhood make this hotel a good choice for anyone wanting to visit Amsterdam but not necessarily stay right in the very heart of the city.
“Would Defintely Stay Here Again!”
Upon arrival at the hotel the manager (maybe owner) was very helpful providing assistance with my luggage and giving me the only main floor room as I had a lot of luggage. He was also very helpful and eager to provide any assistance I needed for my day plans. I felt I could ask him anything about the city! The room was not the largest but didn't expect this hearing about other hotels. The bed was comfy and not noisey at night. I slept excellent! The room also included tourist information about the city and activities to do. I was treated very well even with being a single female traveler! I would definitely stay here again!
“Most hospitable hotel”
I chose this hotel after reading the reviews on the web and the location of the hotel was convenient for me. The front reception staff and the owner Henk were extremely helpful and hospitable. I was travelling alone to run the marathon and this hotel is perfect esp for those who attend the marathon. They had breakfast ready, kept my bags till i came back and provided me with a bathroom to shower after my marathon before I left the city. Very helpful and definitely will re-visit!! Thanks to the EXPEDIA representative who found this hotel for me while I was going through my options with this lady over the phone.
“Friendly and welcoming”
We were met with a warm welcome and upgrade at check-in. Travelling with an infant and toddler there was plenty room in the spacious penthouse for the children to feel at home. It was great to have access to the kitchen. Hotel breakfasts were good, with ham, cheese, eggs, breads and cereals. The children were given toys to play with and bubbles, very thoughtful staff. The hotel is in a quiet residential area next to Vondelpark and less than a mile to the galleries and town centre. Tram line number 2 goes from outside the hotel into town and to the Central Station. Great stay and would highly recommend.
“Lovely Hotel and Service”
My husband and I had a wonderful stay in Amsterdam at the Hotel Zandbergen. We were lucky and got a mini apartment to ourselves that had a living area w/ couches and a kitchen (even though we didn't use it). The bed was very comfortable also. Complimentary breakfast and free WiFi were also a big plus. The proprietor of the hotel, Henk, was very helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. His love for the city of Amsterdam was infectious.
“Quaint Amsterdam Hotel”
I would definitely recommend this hotel. Though I wouldn't necessarily consider it walking distance from any of the main attractions, it was very conveniently located a few steps from tram 2 stops, and that tram took us just about everywhere we wanted to go. We were greeted by hotel staff the minute we walked in the door. Service remained extremely friendly and personable throughout our stay. They could answer any questions about the city and had options for purchasing tickets for a canal cruise and several of the museums. The breakfast was good and was served in a quaint little lobby facing the street, and this quaint hotel was located in a nice residential neighborhood, with a pretty good selection of places to eat and cafe's within walking distance. The room was a bit small for the 4 of us, but we hardly spent any time there and it felt clean, which is what was most important to us. Also, we had access to a sweet little terrace, equipped with a table and enough chairs for the 4 of us. Amsterdam was excellent--great food, friendly people, wonderful museums and many things to do for both adults and children.
“Good find”
Great location, friendly staff, clean, nice breakfast.
“Very nice hotel, well located.”
This is a very nice family hotel located close to the Vondelpark, the museums and Leidseplain. The service is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are nice, although small. I will go back, and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in one of the better neighborhoods of Amsterdam.
“very good option”
very gentle and helpfull staff good price to amsterdam hotels quiet location with public transport almost in front Minotel (tran line 2) small bathroom but well equipated very good coast-benefits I recomend !
“Best choice to stay in Amsterdam”
Hotel Zandbergen, true to its reviews and ratings, is a comfortable and cosy place to stay. Its convenient location and easy access to many attractions and public transport makes it an attractive place to stay. The hotel was easy to find, our room was ready by the time we arrived at about 12.30pm. Hank, the hotel manager was a pleasure to interact. He not only went out of the way to provide us a better service but also helped us with the local insights of where to go and how to reach which helped us save a lot of time. The room was also fully furnished with all required facilties and the hot fresh breakfast was a good start to a prefect day. Choosing this hotel was one of the best decisions that we took during our first time trip to Amsterdam! We would definitely be staying at Zandbergen if we return to Amsterdam some day. Thanks to Hank and team for making our trip more wonderful!
