Tivoli Marina Portimão is a 4 star resort which makes you want to visit time and time again. Here, near the sea and the Portimão marina, a weekend seems to go by very quickly and family holidays soon fill with fun and relaxation. Start the day with breakfast and a view of the marina. Next enjoy a walk or take the Tivoli buggy to the inviting sand of Praia da Rocha. The shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife are very close to the hotel. Water sports, golf and activities for children are also available. If you are planning a special event in the Algarve, why not use one of the large function rooms for meetings, weddings and banquets which can be adapted for any event or occasion.
Rooms
The hotel offers 196 spacious suites in two-story ochre and terra cotta Moorish-style buildings with flat roofs. The main section comprises two buildings situated parallel to marina docks and flanking a central courtyard. Another building comprises the marina's north end. And another extends along the marina's waterfront perpendicular to the docks.
All rooms and suites feature casual, contemporary decor of beige-tile floors, white walls and ceilings, blond-wood trim, and light-colored wood furniture. Tile bathrooms contain shower/tub combinations. Kitchenettes provide two-burner glass rangetops, compact refrigerators, and dishes and glassware. Microwave ovens and cookware are available on request.

Recreation
Spread over three buildings interwoven with Portimão Marina, the hotel includes two saltwater swimming pools, one in the marina's center and the other adjacent to the hotel's building at the marina's north end. Located in a garden courtyard between two lodging buildings, the main pool measures 36-by-12-meters (118-by-39-feet) and is paired with a 7-meter-diameter (23-foot) children's pool. The north-end pool measures 20-by-5-meters (66-by-16-feet).
Directly in front of the marina is a 400-meter (1,300-foot) beach; in summer, lounge chairs and umbrellas are rented to guests at a discount. Adjacent to the marina beach is Praia da Rocha, former playground of Portugal's aristocracy and still one of the Algarve's most popular beaches. Across the mouth of the Arade River directly in front of the marina and hotel lies Ferragudo Beach, which is accessible by water taxi from the marina.
In summer, independent operators offer water sports from the beaches, including personal watercraft, parasailing, water skiing, and windsurfing. Across the street from the marina are year-round scuba diving and windsurfing centers.

“Come back soon”

“Very impressed”
Just came back from a fantastic holiday at the Tivoli Marina. There were 6 of us that went together, all girls, just for a relaxing break and we definitely had it. The hotel room was lovely, 2 of us had to share a sofa bed but it was relaly comfortable. Great view over the marina. The Breakfast area was perfect. It goes on till 11am and you can completely chill out on the outside terrace in lovely sofa-type seats just watching the boats go by. Great food as well. Gorgeous pool area, although water was really cold, but it was October. loads of sun beds and little hut things to sit in. The beach was 2 min round the corner and was lovely. The town on the cliff above the beach was pretty English tourist tacky, but the town of Portimao was cute. There is a gorgeous restaurant just by the hotel on the end of the marina which has a pool for use in the daytime as well. Had a couple of great meals there, much nicer than going into the tacky bit of Praia. Definitely would come back and have recommended to loads of people as was an incredibly good deal as well.
“a good hotel”
this was our third choice hotel from a brochure ( others were fully booked) and actualy, i was glad as the hotel is very good. Its in a good poition, away from the town (Portimao is a large town/city) but ots of "action" close by (walking) if you want it. Its right on the marina with good views and some local bars and shops on the beach. The hotel is good, rooms have a smal "kitchen" area which is handy. Everything was clean and in good condition, the staff were friendly and helpful, food good. The only thing i could say being critical of the hotel was the bar closes early (but other nearby bars a few mintues walk away)and lots of the rooms also had a roof sun terrace but no loungers or chairs on them and when i asked, the hotel said guests were not allowed to take chairs or loungers up there. Why not? ( perhaps to encourage you to go around the pool and buy drinks from the hotel bar. But overall a very good hotel. My wife, my son (aged 13) and i enjoyed it. (July 2007 PS - don't be offput by other peoples comments about the "golf buggies". The "hotel" is in the middle with apartment rooms built along side the pool and marina ( some rooms have views of both somejust the marina) and it takes 3 or minujtes to walk from the outer edge to the middle so to help with suitcases and those less able, the hotel have golf buggies doing a shuttle service. Less abled people and the kids love them.
“Best holiday we have had;”
The hotel and the location were perfect and we had a great holiday, the staff were excellent as was the service, the breakfast was lovely and hot and as much as you could eat and the resturant overlooked the perfect view, you can stroll around the marina or 70 yards on to the beutiful Praia da Rocha sands, we would return tomorrow if we could,all in all we felt it was a great hotel;

Right in the harbour, beautiful setting. Lovely Beaches nearby. We had a very nice relaxing holiday. The main pool is huge and there are a lot of loungers and unbrellas available.
“strongly recommended”
one of the best holiday for us- the biggining of may is far from the full season so we did enjoy beeing spoiled with 6 waiters looking after us at some point in a restaurant in Portimao.in spite of beeing off season it was sunny enough to get a nice tan (and even burns if not carefull)and the beach was just wonderful.the ocean was cold but we did swim in the pool at hotel. about hotel- nice staff, we asked for a room with the view towards marina and they change it immmediately. in this way we ended up in the quiet wing- not that the rest was very noisy. staff was also helpful with travel indications and bookings for local touristic attractions. Rooms were cleaned everyday , sometimes at strange hours in the afternoon, but hey, we didnt spend too much in the room anyway. Good breakfast at the hotel's restaurant, we were glad we booked breakfast included. Lunch not that briliant. we did not have dinner at hotel.
“loverly location wonderful holiday would love to go back”
for me this hotel was ideal. you could walk on the flat to the beautiful beaches or get the bugy they suplied. we ate at dockside a beautiful restraunt over looking the marina. the area is quiet and relaxing but the action is not far away on top of the castle is pria da rocha quite lively and noisy. i advise a taxi to go there if you have walking difficulties or brathing problems as there are quite a few steps, it will only cost 2-3 euros taxis are cheep. i can not fault the hotel or location. the hotel is new clean very presentable, not high rise. we were situated over looking the marina the views were stunning from the reaustraunt where brekfast was served. breakfast was nice plenty of choice. i car not vouch for fry ups as i did not have one but they certainly provided them. overall a wonderful holiday july 2006

“Tivoli - portimao”
The Hotel Tivoli is beautifully situated - over looking the marina. There is a golf buggy to take you and collect you from your room, as some of them are a little walk away. There is a main swimming pool and a smaller one nearer the furthest appartments. Swimming pool towels are at hand. Breakfast is second to none. Fresh fruit, cereal, bread, cooked, cold meats, everything. The staff were polite and very helpful. I would with out a doubt stay there again, it was so beautiful. If I had to rate this hotel I would rate it 4/5 star.
“Fantastic week.”
Tivoli Marina Portimao lived up to our hopes for a last minute early May break. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful, the hotel was very clean and comfortable. We had great weather so were able to make full use of the wonderful salt water pool. Being pedantic we would suggest that they might invest in decent feather pillows but thats our preference and may not be others' and the bathrooms were a bit dated. It was close to the beach and restaurants and tucked away from the high rise apartment buildings in the centre of Portimao, easy to find by car and to get to the surrounding tourist areas. It might get a bit crowded in the main summer season but we would definitely go back in May/June or September/October.
