Ko Yao Yai Waterpark Holidays

Prior to booking at the Old Phuket, we had to find a new place to stay at 8:00pm due to oar AIRBNB room somewhere else, had no Air Conditioning and was dirty. We felt So blessed to find Old Phuket Resort. Staff was great at check in. When we opened the door to our villa - we were in shock !! Hot tub outside, large, cool, room with a desk and places to sit. Beautiful large bathroom AND outdoor private shower.Concierge staff Chai helped us with drivers to different places. So many things in walking distance.

My husband and I LOVED this property! The staff was very friendly, the Spa was the best we have been to, and the room and amenities were incredible!

Housekeeping could’ve done better, no attention to details about each room requirements. We had asked for toilet paper. They didn’t store the fresh drinking water & towels. Our pillows had a strong body/ hair odour smell. I told the housekeeper but she didn’t quite understand, only changed the pillowcases. They are currently doing refurbishing for the whole block and the one opposite us. Most of them are empty. Average breakfast, 8+ in the morning they already ran out out soya milk. The second morning, they couldn’t make the noodle soup because they didn’t have gas as what the waitress told me. Food quality was average and boring. Nice pool.

5 star for everything. Immaculate and the breakfasts were to die for. Wish they kept the brekkie service to 1pm as they're so many lunch things

I’ll first start by saying my bad experience’s first. To get to the hotel was a hassle, because the address listed on Expedia is not the correct address of the hotel therefore we were left stranded in front of someone’s house. We did have to contact the hotel and they were able to speak to the driver to let them know the exact address. Another bad experience we had was during checkout. We had booked a tour for the last morning in the hotel before checking out. We spoke to them the day before letting them know we would like to do a late checkout if possible, but they informed us that they were not able to accommodate but it was ok with us. The problem was the hotel provides beach towels, beach bag, and sandals for you to use during your stay and we were hoping to use all three things that morning during the tour. Please keep in mind that we were going to be dropped off at 12 PM and check out was at 12 PM. They first told us no and when we went to pick up our breakfast in the morning, then they said that they would allow it, but we basically had to beg to be able to use the items and I had to explain how if they had the deposit why wouldn’t we be able to use those items still. it felt like they were just not willing to help. To end on a good note, I ended up losing my prescription glasses cause I left them at the pool and someone took them. The staff went above and beyond by looking at the cameras and finding the person and going to their room to get my glasses back.

I truly enjoyed my stay here and was able to be spoiled for the entire stay.

The stay were very friendly and welcoming as soon as I arrived. I was welcomed with a complimentary massage, drink, and a room upgrade. Luggage was handled immediately and I was driven to the individual unit.

NOT AN ADULT ONLY HOTEL! it's a very family oriented hotel with one small adult only bit at the back. You still have to deal with screaming children and absent-minded parents at the breakfast buffet everyday. Don’t say it’s adults only. It's really big so you have to get around on a golf cart. The pool and whole resort seems very badly designed and some thing seem like a law suit waiting to happen, especially the pool and the bath, the entire pool perimeter is covered by marble tiles which is the first thing you step on as you get out… MARBLE? wet feet? Law suit! Also the tiles of the pool are a camouflage colour, and so are the stairs around the pool, so you will randomly walk into stairs, as they’re invisible. The bath is also built for people around 6 feet or taller, as I struggled to get in an out, and having a shower the edges flooded and went all over the floor, so we needed extra towels everyday. The reception staff were nice, however the bar staff and pool bar staff were always angry looking and seemed like when you ordered from them, it was the worst part of their day. Our fridge was also leaking all over our floor, however after the 2nd person looked it, they seemed to fix it. Bad stuff out of the way, the entertainment was nice at the sky bar, a really nice band called strings of the streets. The restaurants weren’t much except for the Talay Thai on the beach, best Thai food we had on our whole holiday, and everything was only 100 baht.
