Penang Island Ski Holidays

This hotel is a nice upscale hotel right next to Georgetown and in particular quick access to a large number of Michelin rated restaurants. It is also very close to a variety of historic sites that you can easily walk to. It has a lovely roof top infinity pool overlooking the straight. The hotel rooms are all super clean and well appointed and modern. The staff was always very helpful and got to know us by name. It is also far enough from the more touristy party centres so that you feel like you are visiting and not touring. We walked to other hotel areas to see if they might be better but we concluded that when we return to Penang, we will stay at the Prestige again.

Beautifully restored - heritage exterior with mod cons suite. Staff were attentive & very obliging. You get what you pay for with this boutique hotel The hotel gets the big things right. There were a few things that could be improved: • The hotel has a 24-hour front desk & advised us to leave the room key with them when we go out. However, on our return, the front desk wasn’t manned. We had to wait some 10 minutes before a staff member appeared. A simple bell or alert system when a guest is waiting at the front desk would solve the problem • The tea cups in the room were chipped, so was the marble top of the breakfast table

Great location. Lots of things in walking distance. It’s an above average hotel with an upscale hotel price.

Overall it was excellent. It's not everyday you get to stay in a place that has a pool, steam bath room and a view of the sea all in one place. I do wish there was lock for the washroom, the lack of privacy is a little unsettling. Breakfast buffet was good as well. Overall will definitely return for another stay.
