Beautiful location and amazing staff.

Clean, good breakfast, check-in and check-out was smooth and easy. Only knock I would give it is that breakfast doesn't start until 7am, so if you're taking day trips out of Osaka you can't get quite as early of a start. Overall an excellent value for the price and well located very close to Shinsekai and Namba.

Hotel Hankyu International was reasonably priced for a five-star hotel. It may be older than other five-start hotels in the Umeda area but did not feel that way when I stayed. The best thing about the hotel was the stunning view from the room. I very much enjoyed the panorama of skyscrapers in central Osaka.

If arriving from Osaka (Umeda), there is an underground passage leading to the hotel. Head to Uncle Rikuro's Cheesecake (Floor B1), walk past it towards Atelier Albion, until you end up in a three way junction (right is towards Kita-Shinchi JR station), so turn left and on the right side of the wall, take the second to last exit: 11-43, where you'll find an escalator. Once you leave the escalator, you'll see the hotel and an alleyway, where the hotel entrance is found. Reception is on the 2nd floor. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and fairly spacious. No complaints.
