Beautiful view and pool, utilities are a concern - water/power etc. We spent a week here with our 3 daughters, and have traveled many times to Mexico. Being a near new building, we expected less trouble. Antonio did a good job trying to look after things.

The staff was amazing! Everyone was helpful and attentive. The rooms were clean, can't complain there. The only thing that I would have wanted would have been a greater variety of food at the buffet restaurant other than that the Views were amazing from my room. Overall I had a very good experience at this resort. The activities at the pool were a lot of fun as well. One Last thing, if you are planning on a relaxing stay, this might not be the hotel for you, we stayed Friday through Monday and every night there was Disco Club night so there was music playing until 12 midnight and the next day, Saturday, until 1 am. I was traveling with my elderly parents so this was something we didn't like.

I wish the selection of food was better in the buffet. The specialty restaurants were excellent.

Pros: The hotel sits on a long, wide and beautiful stretch of beach with an amazing view of the bay. Best in Play la Ropa. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and extremely well maintained. Beautiful tall palm trees throughout the property. The pools are nice and they have a separate pool for adults only. The rooms are modern and well appointed. The housekeeping staff is absolutely fantastic. They clean the room in the day and come in the evening to refresh towels and turndown. Housekeeping is best in class. The hotel has tennis courts and a gym although it is a bit small for the size of the resort. Cons: It is expensive and there are other fees. In addition to the room rate the hotel charges a "property fee". When I ordered from the room service menu the food arrived with a "delivery fee" in addition to the stated price on the menu and then they want an additional tip. The reception person at check in was not very welcoming. All she wanted was a credit card and signatures. No one walked me around to show the property. Felt more like checking into the college dorm. The property sells day passes to the public so the pools and beach may be filled with people not staying there making it crowded and less peaceful. Changes the feel of the resort. My room was a ground floor lagoon suite, not very much natural light and the patio and plunge pool sat right on the cart path so no privacy at all. Noise from above was noticeable. The food was just average.
