We did not like paying for a resort fee for not using the pool or gym. You should connect the room card to those amenities so only the people who use those things get charged. We did love the fireplaces outside to enjoy a book being read or enjoying a glass of wine. There does need to be security for those areas as some strange homeless people were sifting through ashtrays for cigarettes and a lot of them are mentally unstable.
