The beachhouse is a serene oasis with beautiful seaviews and sunsets, a pretty pool, and a chic boho vibe with natural materials and lots of bamboo and woodworks that show great care for design and sustainability, merging into the natural beauty of the environment. Coming by boat from the seaside (island hopping), you barely see the beachhouse at first, blending into the palm trees that line the shore and the dense greenery of the jungle clad mountain behind. Then it emerges as a tropical oasis on the edge of the Ocam Ocam Cove. Its a perfect retreat for those who seek a peaceful getaway far from the crowds of town, to relax, recharge, and taste the raw nature of palawan (which they call “the last frontier” of the philippines for its untouched nature). To us it was the perfect Palawan getaway to enjoy a quiet and peaceful weekend, laze around the pool, and explore the islandscape of Busuanga by boat (Black Island across the Beachhouse, and the Dugong snorkling tour were our highlights). Ocam Ocam Beach is pretty, raw and quiet, nice for a walk along the cove exploring a mix of local village life and small tourist establishments. The beachhouse is around an hour ride from the airport and easy to reach with the hotels shuttle, the last 15mins are rough road and get a bit bumpy. Dont go if you expect crowds, bars and nightlife, its a remote escape far from the hustle of coron town, but for us, it was the perfect getaway for a relaxing weekend.

We enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay. Setting was stunning, with the beautiful beach and sea. 2 lovely pools, free rental for kayaks, paddle boards and snorkels. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were exceptional, especially Acea who worked in the restaurants. Food in the restaurants at night was very nice but breakfast wasnt to my taste. Trees full of fruit bats were a special treat.

The Hotel is located on a beautiful island. The beach is incredible. The staff was OK but you ate at the mercy of their time schedule. We had a lot of No’s. The rooms are fair. Could’ve been more clean. The airport drop off is way too early. We spent a long time at the airport with only 1 terminal. It’s unnecessary. The boats to town are 45 min away so be prepared for that. The tours are over priced through the hotel. Very very over priced. 3-4 x the cost outside. Staff was friendly. Food was good. Not a 5 star butt certainly could be if some things were changed.

I wish I could give this hotel a 3.5 star review overall, but my only options are 3 stars or 4 stars. It's not good enough for 4 stars, not quite bad enough for 3 stars. The PROS: +Incredibly good breakfast buffet, it was included with our room and had the best food of any hotel breakfast we experienced in the Philippines. This honestly carried the entire hotel. +Good access to 3 unique restaurants. Good food options to choose from all within walking distance: Filipino comfort food, pizza, and Japanese food. +We got food poisoning during our stay (likely from one of their restaurants) and they had an on-site nurse which attended to us for not extra cost. +They let us extend our stay easily and for cheaper than what we paid. Here are some issues we had: -We got food poisoning from one of their restaurants we're pretty sure. -The A/C unit is a total joke, didn't cool anything despite being on the strongest setting. -The swimming pool is warm, murky, and feels dirty and oily. The pumps weren't even on so water wasn't even circulated. -Several times we had to call the front desk or room service multiple times to ask for the same thing because they wouldn't bring it to us after the first request, or after a long long time. -The service water they provided were all from different sources, and usually too warm. -The safe in the room wasn't working properly, we had to call someone in to help us with it (never had an issue with the hotel room safe before).

The rooms were clean, the pool was an amazing touch. A fabulous breakfast buffet! Made you want to get out of bed. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend this place!

Can’t express enough superlatives about my experience at the Busuanga Lodge. Starting with the staff. They were all highly attentive to any of our needs. They also helped with tours and other suggestions for things to do. The room was spacious and clean; laundry service, room service all wonderful. The grounds were well kept and beautiful. Highly recommend it😎
