I’ve stayed at Sol Ipanema 3 times this year. And have been coming here for past 25 years. Love the hotel, the staff and the location cannot be better - right in the heart of Ipanema beach. The waiter staff at breakfast are outstanding, they were the perfect start for every morning. Sol Ipanema will always be my first choice in Rio

1. Terrible bathroom - ridiculous design and unsafe, plus the shower controls were awful. 2. No 110v power - the hotel provided a transformer which gave me an electric shock. 3. No elevator 4. The summing pool area was unusable as the floor was being replaced - ok I get that / but no notice given beforehand or discount offered 5. Dinner was very average at best This hotel is exclusive and expensive - it should have been better

We had an amazing view from our rooms. The staff was beyond excellent and helpful. We hope to visit again very soon. Thanks for the great memories Rio ☺️

Breakfast was amazing, staff was friendly and very helpful, bellman help me carry my belongings to my hostel after check out. Forever grateful.
