This was an absolutely stunning hotel. The staff were friendly and incredible. Food was good. Views were fabulous. The only downside, which is no fault of the hotel at all, was the mosque blaring its call to prayer multiple times a day. Very very disruptive. It would make me question staying again unfortunately.

A beautiful resort – highly recommend! We absolutely loved our two-night stay at Cocana in the Gili Islands. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean and has a lovely chic, modern resort feel. It’s a great place to relax and escape a little from the hustle and bustle of the island. We stayed in a Level 1 Lagoon Villa, which had direct access to the lagoon pool shared by the villas in that section. It was lovely having the pool right outside the villa and being able to step straight in. The resort also has a huge main swimming pool with lovely cabanas, giving you plenty of space to unwind and enjoy your stay. The villa itself was modern, spacious and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was delicious, with a great choice of both à la carte and buffet options. The beach is just across the road, with lovely seating where you can enjoy a drink and watch the sunset – a perfect spot to end the day. Having explored quite a bit of the island, Cocana definitely stood out as one of the best hotels we came across. We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommend Cocana if you’re looking for a stylish, modern, spotless resort with a lovely atmosphere in the Gili Islands.

Overall, the accommodation was very nice, clean, and conveniently located just a few meters from an awesome beach with turtles. The staff were very kind, polite, and helpful. They even arranged bicycle rental for a good price. There are three small points where the hotel could consider making improvements: 1. The pool itself was great, but at certain times of the day, it was not as clean as it could have been, with leaves and insects on the surface. 2. The breakfast options could be more diverse. 3. The lights above the main door were positioned close to the bathroom window. When combined with the milk glass bathroom door, it was disturbing to have the light from the bathroom shining into the bedroom at night.
