My first time in Shanghai, and Donghu Hotel was a wonderful choice for a solo stay.
The hotel is beautifully maintained, with exceptional staff who are warm, helpful and attentive. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very functional, everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
The location is fantastic, with easy access to great food, bars, shopping and transport. Being in the French Concession was a real highlight, such a beautiful and atmospheric part of Shanghai, with so much to explore on foot.
I loved my stay and would happily return. Highly recommended, especially if it’s your first time in Shanghai.

Everything and everyone is incredibly nice. Location is close to metro and a big shopping mall..you can find all variety nice and decent price food inside the mall..is fantastic! Staying here is like home..warm and cozy.
Definitely is my next chosen hotel.

Qingpu is just hella far from the rest of Shanghai
It's a great hotel and quite reasonably priced. Just be prepared to take a 30 minute subway ride just to get to another metro hub and then get on with the rest of your journey. It's really far from Pudong Airport

Nice hotel in a great location, easy walk to the nearby Old Town and Yu Garden, with the Bund a short walk away also. We had a lovely room with views of the Shanghai and Oriental Pearl towers which looked amazing lit up at night. Despite the language barrier the staff were kind, welcoming and courteous towards us, I would highly recommend staying here.

The location is really nice and the apartment large and comfortable.
We had a couple issues (internet & bedding) but the staff reacted quickly to try and resolve the problems. Everyone was kind and responsive.
Lots of restaurants and things to do nearby.
